Friendly people. Loved meeting locals in the attached pub (it only opens on Saturday though). Simple and fresh breakfast. Had dinner once in the restaurant and enjoyed it. The simple view from the room was also a nice touch.
The staff was very helpful and we partied with them in the pub on the night we arrived. Mr. Negi, Colin, the other bar keeper, the young girls, were all staff who we had a great time with in the pub. The locals: the lovely couple who gave us advice on local sight, Mr. Murray, they were all lovely people to meet and talk with. I wish they all were my neighbours. Mr. Negi also gifted us with a bottle of the local distillery Wolfburn's whisky on the day of our departure. We would always cherish these memories.

Superb motorbike friendly hotel right on nc500 in village of Mey. We had a lovely big room in the annex. Comfy bed , great bathroom, clean and very quiet so we slept well. Off street Parking next to hotel is secure as its a very quiet area! We ate and had drinks in the hotel. Food was excellent. Very friendly couple that own and run the hotel. Recommended.

The location was excellent, our teenage daughter loved the freedom provided by the environment.
Combining comfort with value for money, three-star hotels offer a wide assortment of amenities to keep you content. You can expect to find en suite bathrooms, WiFi in public areas and a dining area with breakfast options. Plenty of chain hotels fall within this star rating and offer central locations close to popular landmarks.
The location is very good, close to the beach, a supermarket and the city center. The house was very clean and had everything we need, although a shower in the bathroom downstairs would be a valuable improvement.
The host was nice and helpful.
Most of the staff were helpful, professional but friendly. Accepted was only 3 stars so did not have high expectations. Breakfast offered a good acceptable choice. However insufficient staff in dining room were run off their feet as hotel was busy but they tried their best and were most pleasant. Only had breakfasts.
The accommodation is good value, but I would describe it as a budget hotel. It isn't of the same standard as one of the major chain hotels. I chose this hotel specifically because I wanted a cooked breakfast - most of the other hotels state 'continental' breakfast, but breakfast here was a full cooked breakfast, made to order, and was very good. I think the hotel was very quiet on the night I stayed, but I really had the best night's sleep in ages. Overall, I was very pleased and would happily stay here again.
The hosts were very friendly and would really help with suggestions and advice.. We had the budget twin which was small but adequate for a short stay. Ideal location and breakfast was great. Would recommend .
