Situated on the outskirts of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park, Maenan Abbey Hotel stands on the site of an original thirteenth-century Cistercian monastery.

Built as a gentleman's residence in 1850, the property features a magnificent galleried Victorian staircase and blazing winter log fire. Whilst maintaining its historic traditions, Maenan Abbey offers all modern hotel facilities. All 14 bedrooms are en suite and are decorated in a style sympathetic to the period of the building.

Everything was great. The facilities are poor, but for us that added to the quaintness and originality of the location.

Our Shepherds Huts and Pod are wonderfully sited on our farmland overlooking The Magnificent Snowdonia Mountain Range.

We have 2 Shepherds Huts and 1 Pod , they can accommodate 2 - 6 people and are totally private with a Hot tub.

Menna is an amazing host. Anything you need she will help with. The accommodation is brilliant. Even Mennas husband is happy to chat and answer questions. Even in between his job as a farmer. I cannot fault anything about my stay. Beautiful location. Beautiful views. Hot tub and wood burner fire on and ready to use on arrival. A great selection of local produce in our breakfast box. Perfect break away

The Eagles Hotel is situated about an hour from Holyhead ferry so is a useful stopping off place on way home to Wiltshire. It has a riverside location which is lovely and the staff are friendly. The shower in the bathroom was new and effective and there were plenty of towels.
