Beautiful house set in gorgeous countryside 20 minutes drive from Santander. Excellent food served in the evening, the best meal we had on our trip through Spain. The hosts were very welcoming, I would not hesitate to recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Staying at Los Guardeses was an extraordinary experience. It is located in Solares, in a reformed, former marquess house. Although it is surrounded by modern buildings, the garden with abundant plants maintains it's unique atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly, and shared the history of Los Guardeses. The room was very clean and had all equipment from the description. I was happy to find a good quality hairdryer. The beds were comfortable with two, long pillows for each person. Breakfast was tasteful with variety of products. To sum up, I strongly recommend this place.

Simply beautiful. Welcoming and calm atmosphere, the garden was stunning.

Beautiful location with a stunning view from the lovely garden. Good rooms with balcony and immaculate bathroom. Typically Spanish (ie, excellent) service. Great honesty bar and nice breakfast.

Excellent value; hotel was spotless, modern and well appointed. Room was spacious, with a UK size spa bath. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Only slight negative was the low availability of parking.
The location is idyllic; we would have stayed longer had we not been sailing from Santander the following day.
