What a delightful host they were, very kind and accommodating. The place is very close to the river where you can go for a walk or even dip in the water. The pizza is to die for in the establishment.

Manuel and his family were so helpful. The pool was beautiful and clean. It is a family run hotel that only opens for part of the week and weekends. We wanted to stay an extra night to relax before travelling south and they offered their family home to us for the night as they were returning to Madrid. We had full use of the pool when all the other guest had left at mid day. So kind of Manuel.
El Tiemblo
Hotel Toros de Guisando offers spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private terrace. It is in the small rural area of El Tiemblo, Ávila.
The hotel’s name comes from the famous Guisando Bulls, a series of sculptures from the 1st and 2nd Century BC. These are located a short walk away on the hill of Guisando.
We had stayed at this hotel before, as it is the only one, as far as we are aware, in the village. It is conveniently located at the entrance of the village, with plenty of parking on the street just in front of the hotel. Walking into the village is easy, and there are a variety of bars and shops around. The bedrooms are huge, with lovely big windows and a large terrace on which to sit while sipping a beer and looking at the mountains. The staff are friendly and kindly lent us a corkscrew and a couple of glasses to take to our room when we bought a bottle of wine at the nearby supermarket.
Cebreros (Near El Tiemblo)
Located in the heart of the charming town, this rustic hotel boasts a history of anis production and has delightful features such as wooden beams and hunting trophies decorating the walls.
Feel at home in the cosy interiors of the Castrejon. Admire the careful decoration which celebrates the original features of the building as well as its fascinating history. The Castrejon was once involved in the distillation of Cebreros’s famous anis production. You will notice artefacts such as ceramics and forge pottery which are reminders of its colourful past.
It is overall a very nice place to stay with a very good price/quality ratio. Highly recommended.
