Set in Curtea de Argeş, 29 km from Vidraru Dam, Hotel Subcarpati offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Featuring a bar, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The hotel has a hammam and room service. Everything is as it supposed to be. From cleanliness all over the place to the personnel willing to help and respectful. This is a small gem hidden between the old flat blocks. If in Curtea de Argeș, this is definitely the place to stay.
Arpaşu de Sus
Many activities are offered on location and on request, bike tours to the Fagaras Mountains, karaoke evenings and a campfire can be organized. The complex also has farm animals, a playground for children, table tennis, gym, sauna, a hot tub and a small outdoor pool. Four conference rooms can be used. Hotel located at the trout farm with the view of Transfagarasan Mountains. Pure nature. Nice restaurant with local specialities-mostly fish. Very tasty breakfast. Large parking.
Căpăţîneni-Ungureni
Free private parking is offered on site. Curtea Arges is 35 km away from Arefu and the Posada Vidraru. Guests can relax at the artificial Vidraru Lake, which was created in 1965, or enjoy boat trips, which can be arranged on request. We liked the beds, the location (amazing lake). The pool and sauna were very nice, not crowded at all (2-3 couples at all times), very spacious, with an amazing view (the lake, of course). The pool and sauna are included in the price of the room, while the massage is not. The pool is open from around 8 or 9 AM until 9 PM, so there is plenty of time to visit it. We stayed in a double room with twin beds. We had the usual commodities: slippers, bathrobes, clean towels replaced every day, a kettle, minibar with water and soda. The staff was nice, the food was tasty. There are many activities if you decide to stay in the hotel - pool table, darts, air hockey, playground for children. We also took a boat ride.

No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).

Clean, simple self checkin process. Space for 3 cars in the inner yard and plenty of space left for another 2. The kitchen and living room is in another building so kids could sleep while we had fun. The hot tub is far enough from the bedrooms, in the second yard so you can enjoy it without disturbing those that went to sleep early. Kitchen has everything you need, the bedrooms have comfy huge beds. The host was helpful with everything we needed and didn't knew where it was.
It is a good hotel very well positioned with its own car 🚗 park. The room is quit no noise I could sleep well. Then it has a very beautiful SPA and end I also a relaxing massage done by a very professional lady. Thank you !!
The complex is big, with a huge area for kids to play at (including a playground), an artificial lake, a creek right outside the property, an indoor pool with a sauna, and more. Our room was also spacious, with two balconies. There are bicycles for use by guests to ride around the area.
The host was friendly and helpful. The accommodation is fairly basic but spacious and clean. The breakfast was varied and good, the host was kind enough to meet our additional request. Ideally located halfway between Curtea de Arges and Lacul Vidraru. Good starting point to visit the Transfagarasan road. No restaurant, but good dining options in the nearby area and in Curtea. Plenty of free parking. Good value for money.

Brand new large apartment exactly as described in the pictures. Sparkling clean. Breakfast exactly as described. Fully equipped kitchen where we had dinner and breakfast. Supermarket within 100m. Smooth self check-in / check-out. We stayed one night and found parking on the street without problem Great place to stay before going to Transfagarashan
The host was very welcoming, approachable and helpful. We enjoyed the surroundings, having breakfast outside in the garden, the comfortable beds and relaxing in the swing by the river..The host provided us with an extra single bed. The host provided us with breakfast for 30 Ron per person.
The place is quite new and clean as the Booking pictures show. The room is very big and the bathroom with full amenities. The comun space is more than enough for a quick breakfast. The contact with the owner was by phone, but fast and easy. The main spot in the city, the monastery, is just 10 mins walking and free parking in front of the house. Best option on the city.
Very spacious room with balcony. Downstairs there is a small local store. Very nice waiter and ok breakfast. Nice terrace to sit in the evening or in the morning to have breakfast. We see this accomodation as quite basic but the price is reasonable and its good that the breakfast is included.
I liked a lot the location and the fact that there was a river passing by in the back yard. Very nice and relaxing space. Room was big and very clean. Host was very welcoming and helpful. I was able to take as well breakfast before going on Transfagarasan
