It looks like you are pulling into someone's home, but the motel is hidden behind. The room was large and lovely with a full kitchen, and even had a jacuzzi. The beds were super comfortable. The town of Hokatika is a seaside gem with beach walks and colorful rocks. The town is small enough to walk about, but large enough to have all the services available and interesting shops.

The Maxi Apartment and Tui Studio Pods are fully self-contained, with full access to the communal amenities, including a camp kitchen, toilet/shower facilities and a guest laundry. Fabulous location. The containers are exactly as pictured and described. Extremely comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. We loved taking a bath outside under the stars and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The plots are very generous - plenty of space for everyone. Great beach for a long walk in the morning. A good place to stop and break the journey on route down the West coast. Can highly recommend! Each house has its own private outdoor spa baths for that houses exclusive use, with fresh water for each person, the house offers a full kitchen with an open-plan lounge containing a gas fireplace, ideal on a cold day. The spacious lounge offers several couches and a separate dining area. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower and a separately accessed toilet. Attached to the house is a covered car park. Amazing house, huge open plan area and three neat bedrooms. The outdoor baths were a gorgeous feature.

The lady at the desk was so nice! She recommended a couple of places to eat, and she was right about how good they were. The bed was comfy and the room had a nice tub. She gave us milk and cookies, too!
