very comfortable accommodation, very spacious and well equipped. It was nice to have some essentials like bread and eggs provided and even a fridge with prosecco. Having a hot tub was an added luxury. A very quiet and peaceful location.
The location was great for us, we liked that there is a spa on site so we could relax. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. I definitely feel we got value for money being able to use the pool/gym/sauna.
Used the hotel as a bit of a luxury break on the journey north after a family Christmas. Weather not good so didn't get to see/use the outdoors, but the hotel is really nice. The rooms (standard double!!) are extra-ordinary - the largest I have stayed in & probably double the size of usual standards, with a large bathroom too - and the rooms are nice too, not just spacious. Staff were helpful and the bar & restaurant food was good, as was breakfast.
I came here for a relaxing break and it fulfilled all my requirements. The bungalow is cosy and very comfortable, with great beds, a super shower and good wifi. John, the host, could not have been more welcoming and even provided a bottle of sparkling wine and some biscuits. The property is within walking distance of the centre of Penistone and would make a great base for people wanting to explore the beautiful countryside nearby
This hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room which is handy for relaxing in when you have some spare time. Also have a gym which was busy but I didn't use as very busy.
Charming manor appearance. Spa area was very nice and had a excellent jacuzzi, sauna & steam. Breakfast had a good variety and presented nicely.
A fantastic gem of a hotel! It may share its grounds with halls if residence, but the site was so quiet. The most beautifully appointed accommodation. The staff were fantastic, so polite and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Breakfast choices and quality were varied and fantastic. And the use of robes whilst there made it feel like a spa resort. Thank you Halifax Hall. I will definitely return.
Breakfast was very good plenty of choice,our room had a nice shower,not much noise in corridors,outside space was very relaxing for reading or having a drink on the terrace,will definitely be back,the hotel is a hidden gem.
After hearing about this place from freinds me and my wife just had to try it out and Honestly so glad we did before you even go in the hotel the outside views are beautiful you step inside and omg incredible. staff are lovely helpful then on to our signature spa room wow huge and thats just the bedroom bathroom everything you need to relax sauna steam room and my best the hot tub only stayed 1 night but never been more relaxed 5 star will be staying again highly reccomend to anyone
Nothing we went for a break my wife suffers through a lot of illness which the spar facility really helps her ! When we got there apparently was full but when I phoned to book it they said it didn’t mater ! It was a huge part of the stay the hot tub and sauna
