What better way to unwind after a day’s sightseeing than relaxing in a health and wellness spa? Spa hotels focus on maximum relaxation for their guests, with luxury features like hot tubs, thermal pools and professional massage services. Some spa hotels use mineral-rich water pumped straight out of the ground, helping to maintain and restore good health.
We have been here before and we came back because we love it so much - it truly is a unique place to stay (and couldn't be better located). It's also great to chat to the other guests at breakfast - all of whom were also enjoying the calm, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. (Snr Jose, we didn't get to see you much this time, but you should know that we were very well looked after by Leonore, Laurinda (or was it Clarinda?) and Mena - all doing an excellent job)

Great hotel in a fantastic position at the side of the main square; ideal for walking to explore the delightful town.
Modern, well-equipped and comfortable: we were made to feel instantly at home by the friendly, welcoming, helpful receptionist Francisca.
Good views over the river and across to Spain from our room.
We enjoyed a good dinner, and a hearty breakfast to see us on our way the next day.
Great location on the main square Caminha. Room spacious with fridge and tv and good internet. Looked over back garden so not too noisy. Great breakfast.
Everything! Beautiful property, got picked up and warmly greeted by the owner in Caminha. Also dropped us off after a marvellous breakfast to the boat for our crossing to Spain. We would have loved to stay longer
As always the most beautiful stay. This lovingly restored and cared for property is luxurious but wholesome, caring and attentive hosts make guests feel so welcome. Incredible breakfast included. Beautiful gardens, pool, and lots of spaces to relax. One of my favourite hotels in the world and I will always return!
I had a great room with a fantastic view. The location of the hostel is very convenient for the Camino, and so is their taxi service to the taxi boats that take you across the river to Spain. Breakfast was very nice.
I loved this old Portuguese house. The alburgue was well located, spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. Linen, towel and duvet provided. Good kitchen with honesty box for breakfast. Taxi boat service at 7.30am to cross riiver to Spain.
I did really like the room, the view to the nature was good. Turkish Bath and the Sauna were fantastic. Breakfast was good and the champagne was definitely a plus.
We just stopped for a couple of nights, but we definitely would have stayed longer. The house is really lovely with a beautiful view on the Minho River and a wonderful garden with pool.Kevin and Nadine are super hosts! They are always there to help to make you feel at home and they also preparare a great breakfast in the terrace using fresh food from their garden.
The room is not so big, but the patio and the garden/pool outside are enough to completely charge batteries and relax. Free parking and clean spaces in all the house
Needed a break from the camino, and this was perfect. Amazing spa and massage for my wife. And the food and wine was amazing. As a chef myself, I will steal the caramel fondant. The waiters maybe not so professional, but sweet and helpful. And great feedback from reception 👍
