For many years my husband and I have visited Meran, and we have stayed at the Hotel Therme Meran. Fortunately for us, they were already sold out. As a result, we chose to stay at Hotel Ansitz Plantiz. Here are just a few of the reasons why we had an extraordinary time at Hotel Ansitz Plantiz:
The friendly personnel.
We read some negative reviews regarding the staff, however this situation, if true, has been remedied. The personnel at the front desk, bars, room service and dining areas always greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. Any questions or requests we had were immediately addressed in a friendly manner.
The Golden Spa
The Golden Spa area was the most relaxing spa we have visited. The bio infra-red cabin was fantastic. It was located in what felt like a small outdoor tranquil oasis where we could hear the birds singing from outside. In another area of the spa is a large, yet cozy, sauna and an aromatic steam room. The cold water plunge tub was refreshing. It got the circulation going, after the warm sauna and steam room. This textile free area offered, what I would call, modesty wrap towels which could be worn in the sauna. Both the indoor and outdoor heated pools were very clean and heated at the perfect temperature. In addition, there are two outdoor whirl pools overlooking the stunning views of the Alps. There are extensive treatments and massages available. My husband had a massage and said he said it was perfect. The two relaxation rooms are tranquil and relaxing. They offer a peaceful atmosphere, after the use of the sauna and steam room or a spa massage or treatment. They are beautifully decorated. Great care is given to make you feel comfortable and well looked after. Additionally, there is a bar area with herb teas and cucumber and lemon detox waters.
What better way to unwind after a day’s sightseeing than relaxing in a health and wellness spa? Spa hotels focus on maximum relaxation for their guests, with luxury features like hot tubs, thermal pools and professional massage services. Some spa hotels use mineral-rich water pumped straight out of the ground, helping to maintain and restore good health.
the breakfast was amazing, but we didn't like the dinner a lot, the hotel is specific for relaxation, the location is amazing and the concept is amazing I respect this a lot.
the cable idea and view from the room are perfect.
we suggest extending the wifi to 12 because there is no cellular service on the mountaintop, and the location was a little bit far, 2 hours drive to lakes, but it was worth it. north Italy was amazing!

Fabulously renovated old villa located at the foot of the mountains and decorated with plenty of love for the small details. Very good breakfast and lunch options at the villa itself. We enjoyed to use the facilities of the two partner hotels (Schwarzschmied for SPA and dinner and Reichhalter 1477 for dinner). Every dish we had at any of the places was fantastic! Thanks for this great stopover at the end of our vacation in Italy!
Host Herbert is very friendly and hospitable and he created a very nice accommodation there. The property is very nice and has a stunning view over the mountains, valley and Lana & Merano. The apartments are spacious and well equiped. The wellness and jacuzzi are great as well is the pool.

Host greeted us cheerfully and showed us around, made us feel like friends rather than guests. Everything on premises is modern and spotlessly clean. Sauna, hot tub and extensive grounds make it the perfect place for relaxation. Bonus: seeing the lights down in the valley from our bed at night was Incredibly beautiful.

Spacious 1 room apartment. Modern facilities, good balcony. Airco worked effectively. Well located in the village, near bus routes, supermarket and restaurants. Nice relaxed atmosphere in the village. Extra towels provided during the stay.
