The staff are exceptional at this hotel especially JOHN and TonI. Everyone is so friendly and sweet from the doorman to the service staff to the maid who clean and change the room daily. A truly fabulous and wonderful experience and I especially loved the books in the library. The doorman we’re always putting logs on the fire in the evening and there was always a wonderful real fire burning beside two fabulous leather chairs . Fabulous Food, Amazing scones. Beautiful newly refurbished room and shining marble with a rainforest showerhead and handheld wand. They even had Netflix on the TV which surprised me. I was surprised by the local entertainment in Cork as well I actually got tickets to see a concert by Van Morrison and within the week Elton John was actually playing there as well. They have an airport for those that want to fly in from other parts of Europe. The Staircase in the hotel is absolutely spectacular. The whole place is a rare treasure.

A beautiful Hotel, Very relaxing. All staff were attentive and most helpful in every way. The bacon with breakfast was very tasteless. Otherwise breakfast was very nice. If we got a good deal we would love to stay midweek.

Location is great, 2 mins from the train station and 10 mins to pubs and restaurants. The staff are lovely, we got there at 12 and they let us straight into our room. We particularly loved the pool, sauna and steam rooms- all were super clean and really relaxing after an exhausting couple of days. The room was spacious, beautiful, really clean, comfortable bed and we didn't hear any train noises at night. Lovely bathroom too. The record player was a lovely bonus, we enjoyed playing a few records while relaxing in the room.

Breakfast was fantastic Room was beautiful and couldnt fault it Dinner was nice, will try the menu again on our next visit. Had planned on going into the city for dinner and drinks but upon discovering the spa and leisure facilities we choose to use the hydro-pool and have dinner and drinks in the hotel instead. The hydro-pool was fantastic to have and the setting of it outdoors and overlooking the river and view was so relaxing and enjoyable.

Had an amazing time in general. We live in Cork, and we decided to do a 1 night getaway from the house in Montenotte. The staff was so friendly, then the spa was so relaxing, after which we got complimentary refreshments. We also had a swim in the pool, including sauna, jacuzzi. Then the dinner was so good, jazz in a small bar, cocktails, and of course amazing breakfast with super attentive waiters. We absolutely loved it!

We loved our spa stay at Maldron Hotel Shandon! Our room had a great view over Cork city and we enjoyed the leisure centre facilities which included a pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. The hot tub could have been a little warmer and there were no deck chairs available to relax and read but overall a great stay!

The spa relaxation room with the heated pool, aroma steam room and sauna was a really nice relaxing place to be. We would return for this alone. The breakfast was lovely and being available until 11am was a bonus. The dinner in the bar was also very nice with very decent portions and nice cocktails.
