First of all the location - the hotel is a short walk from the train station and Sheffield city hall. The staff was nice and answered our questions prior to booking. The room is very spacious and clean, bigger than we thought! Very comfortable bed. The shower stream is strong, the natural soaps are amazing. It's a big plus to be able to have both a shower and a bath to choose from. The air conditioning was working great. The view is amazing. It was overall a very good experience. Would totally recommend and go again.

Upgraded from a single to a privilege double on arrival. Great room, comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept on. All the facilities you would ever need, unless you are the very fussy type! Clean modern bathroom. Plenty of space to relax off room, and the gardens are magnificent with plenty of areas to roam and sit. Extensive breakfast menu. Staff very friendly & nothing they wouldn't do for me if asked. I need an excuse to come back to Sheffield & Kenwood Hall would be my first choice.

Had a lovely stay in one of the privilege rooms for my daughter’s 14th birthday! We enjoyed a day of shopping in the morning and then used the swimming pool, hot tub & spa facilities in the afternoon/evening which was amazing! The breakfast was really tasty and plenty of choice! After checkout we went to explore the grounds and had a lovely walk! Will be returning with my partner soon! Would definitely recommend!

The location was great for us, we liked that there is a spa on site so we could relax. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. I definitely feel we got value for money being able to use the pool/gym/sauna.

I came here for a relaxing break and it fulfilled all my requirements. The bungalow is cosy and very comfortable, with great beds, a super shower and good wifi. John, the host, could not have been more welcoming and even provided a bottle of sparkling wine and some biscuits. The property is within walking distance of the centre of Penistone and would make a great base for people wanting to explore the beautiful countryside nearby

Room very spacious and comfortable. Didn't use the gym facilities apart from the massage with Natalie from Knots Massage (which I accidently discovered upon check-in), which was absolutely amazing! She really knows her stuff and it was the best massage I've had! Hotel should really promote it more. Breakfast was really good too, tasty with plenty of variety. Staff are very accomodating and friendly.

The family room was spacious with a great view overlooking the lake. There was plenty of storage space with an iron, ironing board, fan, and safe. A decent size tv with a great seating area. The bathroom was of good size with super hot water when running a bath to relax 🙂 The spar was sufficient in the pool, sauna, and steam room size. The sauna was way hot enough, and the steam room was ok. The jacuzzi was fun and very relaxing. The breakfast on the first morning was luke warm at best, but the following morning, it had improved.

The location is excellent. Easy to explore the area. Breakfast was very good even it is during the pandemic. Staff is really helpful, polite and friendly. It seems that they work really hard. Room was really big (for 5 people)and so tidy with good sized bathroom.Swimming pool is very clean and family friendly. Sauna, steam room and hot tub-no complaints. Free parking with enough space. This hotel should be 4-star rated.
