The atmosphere of the hotel is really nice, relaxed and energetic. An early check-in was arranged without any hick-ups. Room was spacious and the bed veeeeery comfortable. We were a bit worried about the fact that our room was on the road-facing-side, but the windows are well insulated and none of the road noise could be heard in the room. Breakfast is a bit pricey but very good and provides lots of options to choose from. Also the evening menu at the bar was good and sufficient for those "just a bit of something"-cravings.

Location was beautiful. The room was light, very clean and beautifully furnished. Our dog was welcomed throughout the property and had so much space to run around outside. Everything was so organised and well thought out but the stay felt so relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is situated in the grounds of a beautiful golf course and being outside of Edinburgh its a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast had good choice (however overpriced per person) and we did not have to wait like others have said in reviews. The pool area is clean and maintained and was nice to be able to enjoy the sauna and steam rooms at the end of the day after walking around. The room was clean however the decor is old.

The building and grounds were impressive, and the cocktail lounge was a nice warm place to relax, with a good choice of drinks available. The spa facilities were good and the massages we had were very relaxing. The breakfast choices were varied and the hot food options were well prepared.
