Located in Ebensee, Hotel Hochsteg Gütl is an ideal starting point for excursions to the historic villages Hallstatt and Bad Ischl. Guests benefit from an indoor pool and a steam bath, as well as free WiFi.

Guests can start their day with a rich breakfast and International cuisine is served at the à la carte restaurant at Hotel Hochsteg Gütl.

Absolutely everything. The location was stunning, the facilities were top notch, the service was personalised and impeccable. Our room (the family room) was straight out of an interior design magazine and the breakfast was great. We dined several times at the hotel restaurant which was adjacent to it and is also run by the family - and it was delicious. There was a big park with a trampoline and other games to keep the little one entertained and the roofed, heated pool was a big hit also. There was a lovely garden to have tea and cake in (home made cakes, coffee and tea were available from 2 to 4 pm at no extra cost) and also to read a good novel and lose yourself in the scent of the flowers and the sound of the feature fountain. The gentleman who runs it has high attention to detail and was very kind and attentive. We had to leave before the usual breakfast time so he got up one hour earlier to make a full breakfast just for us! He made sure our stay was excellent and we will definitely be coming back next year! Many a hotel owner/ hotel chain manager should visit and take notes on how to run a place to an absolute high standard.

The See-Spa wellness area features several saunas including one with a panoramic lake view, a steam bath, spa showers and a relaxation area. Guests have exclusive access to a bathing jetty. Beauty treatments and massages are available.

One of the best stays I had. Staff is super helpful, the room was super comfortable, the view on the lake gorgeous. On top of that, the treatment we had, the spa, the breakfast were all perfect. I would recommend and I'll definitely come back.

Half-board can be booked on site for stays of 2 nights or more. A bar serving hot and cold drinks is a further feature of Seegasthof, and a breakfast buffet is offered daily.

A garden surrounds the property and on a rainy day, you can relax in the small on-site library and read a book. Boat trips are possible on the lake and fishing is available on request. Covered parking is available against a surcharge and you can also park your car free of charge at the property.

We did arrive late and were still able to order proper dinner which we appreciated very much. One of us got a wonderful upgrade; yet we all enjoyed the quietness and beautiful surrounding very much! Thanks again, we loved our stay! Happy Henrietta Team

Location was great for what we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with a choice of eggs. Check-in was quick and concise Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable though not luxurious. The view was amazing! Check-out was easy and relaxed. We asked if we could check-out about 20 minutes after the cut-off, to which the response was 'of course!' Made all the difference.....

Amazing location with breathtaking views and great starting point for hikes. Great atmosphere of the mountain refuge. Very good food in the restaurant - although we didn't have time to try many dishes unfortunately. Breakfast was ok. The room was spacious and clean. Shared bathroom was not a problem at all, as there are not many rooms, so we never had to wait for the shower/toilet. Having a sink inside the room was a big plus.

    - Beautiful, spacious, modern and super cosy accommodation. - Beautiful view of town and mountains from balcony since we stayed at attic (top floor.) - Good healthy breakfast. Despite the disadvantages, the advantages very much override in my opinion and we will definitely come back given the opportunity to visit again. 😊
