A lovely, clean, and simple pension with tatami/futons and the added bonus of toilets in each room, which many pensions don't have (they have shared toilets). However, the bath is shared and is not in the room, which is no problem! Plus nearby local free public onsens are wonderful. It's run by a very nice family, has a good location near bus stops plus is a short walk from the Karasawa lift (can ski from there to main areas and back). Breakfast was very tasty with a lot of variety and a mix of Japanese and Western options. Reasonably priced-- I would stay there again!

I enjoyed everything about this stay. The room was very cozy, and their was an onsen inside the guest house as well. The main thing I wanna point out is the service - Kadowaki-san was such a fantastic host, helping with gear rental, recommendations, and general inquiries. It was very nice to talk to as well and very efficient with Google Translator :D. I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by ease the best place I stayed at. Will definitely be back to this place and highly recommend it.

Gab and Kyoko were amazing hosts, they helped us a lot with local knowledge and were really friendly and relaxed with us. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 2.5month old baby and they were extremely accommodating even lending us a baby bath so we could bathe her beside the onsen. It was an all around amazing experience and would stay again in a heartbeat.
