I loved everything, it was the perfect place to rest and relax! A rating of 10 out of 10 would be an understatement. I will try to be a bit more specific though I know I will miss many of the things that I enjoyed: the location next to marina, the quality of the apartment, the decorations, the complementary goodies in the kitchen, the terrace, and Shirley’s kindness and hospitality. And the lovely puppies! One last aspect - the location is very good for visiting the coast : Tutukaka, Paihia, Russell and so on.

The hosts Donna & Neville were great. Nothing too much for them made us very welcome. The room was clean and very modern. There is a microwave, toaster, and kettle, and you are supplied with some food items, milk, butter, jam, cereal, and snacks ect. Lovely view of the canal from the veranda. You are able to use some e-bikes if you want to, although we did not take up the offer. Would I go again? Yes, I would.

What a BEAUTIFUL, brand-new home! We adored our stay here. We used this as a base, and day-tripped to Waipu and Waipu Cove for the beach / restaurants, as well as Ruakaka for the beach, and Whangarei for the town basin. It's mostly housing in the immediate vicinity (and people with boats and jetties!), so best with a car to go a little further afield to all the beautiful things around the region.

Lovely host - this was located in the ground level of their home. It is directly across the street from the water. We had a wonderful exploring the coastline. They also had kayaks available, but sadly out stay was too short! Next time :)
