Romantic Vineyard getaway, hotel in Amberley

Romantic Vineyard getaway is located in Waipara and offers free bikes, barbecue facilities and a garden. The property features mountain views, plus is 10 km from Pegasus Bay.

The hot tub in the vineyard is priceless. Sheep all around. We were lucky to be invited to see the Shepard and his dogs in action. Great experience. Completely alone during the night. They provide you with their wine (excellent but obviously at payment) and with a good breakfast. You can have wine tasting during the opening hour. Very romantic place.

THE STABLES, a self contained farmstay featuring outdoor baths, fireplace & wineries, hotel in Amberley

Set in Waipara in the Canterbury region, THE STABLES, a self contained farmstay featuring outdoor baths, fireplace & wineries has a patio and garden views.

By far one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Jodie was incredibly accomodating, and her dogs and animals on the farm were so sweet. The place is gorgeous, smells delightful and is well stocked with beautiful little flourishes. Very comfy and cosy, and idyllic. Would 100% recommend and will definitely stay again in the future!

Greystone PurePod, hotel in Amberley

Set in Waipara in the Canterbury Region, Greystone PurePod is a luxury glass eco-cabin set high above a beautiful organic winery in the Waipara Valley.

The seclusion of the pod and so so dreamy. The view and sunset was stunning. The facilities are top notch. Gorgeous hot shower and the bed so comfortable. Curtain options if you wish but we stargazed all night. BBQ for full on cooking but highly recommend the Long Lunch at the vineyard before you head up to the pod.

Hilltop Rural Retreat, hotel in Amberley

Offering a garden and garden view, Hilltop Rural Retreat is situated in Loburn, 42 km from Christchurch Art Gallery and 42 km from Canterbury Museum.

The owners of the stay were lovely and very accommodating to our booking on short notice. The hilltop retreat is basically 2 large storage containers joined together with a small kitchen with basic necessities and a little bathroom and double bed, sofa and TV. There is a beautiful little open wooden verandah and with seat and table to sit outside if you like. What I'd like to suggest to them would be putting a little sign at the bottom of their road for hilltop retreat because it was a little difficult to find their house.

Our room was immaculate, as was the rest of the property. The hosts were very welcoming and the touches such as the chocolate and coffee were much appreciated.

We have stayed at the teviot view motel before, but didn't realize that the serviced apartments were related. Excellent service and facilities at both places. There are a few good places to eat nearby but the kitchen facilities are great if you want to eat in.

When we arrived we were put in a tiny room which was not what I thought I had paid for. The staff said Booking.com had miss described the room and charged us for a bigger room with a kitchenette but gave us a really small room. However when I got upset, they gave us the room I had booked at no extra cost but blamed booking.com. I liked the new room which was clean, comfortable and had a kitchenette. I also appreciate the willingness of staff to address my concerns.
