I wanted to go to Friesland as an American to see where my wonderful Grandmother grew up. I couldn’t have been happier at the B&B Oan’t Wetter! It is set back in the most beautiful garden right on the canal. So charming!!! We took an 8 mile hike around the nature preserve close by and after sitting in the beautiful jacuzzi with the lights hanging from the birch tree above it we felt no muscle pain! The charming villa is so clean you can eat off the beautiful black slate floor! The kitchen is well stocked with everything! I especially enjoyed all the different kinds of tea! I went to the grocery store that is 10 walking minutes away and bought a vegetable soup kit. I chopped vegetables for an hour and enjoyed myself so much in the charming pottery filled kitchen. I cannot say enough how beautiful everything was there and how wonderful the owner is!!! I even got to meet her adorable daughter. I will be back!!💓

It's a beautiful place, with fresh and fabulous design. The team was super friendly and detail oriented, especially for kids, there have given us a plenty of toys, and it was so nice :) In addition, this place is totally new and clean with high quality design. It was a pleasure to stay in the Suite van Lotte. We can just recommend :)

Wonderful hosts who made us feel most welcome. Excellent communication with the hosts regarding breakfast and procedure to access the nearby free parking. The room itself was equipped to a very high standard, with full kitchen and equipment. Beautiful bathroom with an excellent shower and also lovely toiletries. The view from the room onto the canal right outside was fascinating, with boats and people to watch. Even better that you were able to sit on your own bench! The hosts had left a variety of tourist brochures about nearby attractions, there’s plenty to see in the beautiful town of Dokkum itself. The breakfast supplied by the hosts was exceptional, fresh ingredients, well prepared, plentiful and a slight variation each day. I’ve never had better! Do try the Dokkum coffee, it’s delicious. There are several supermarkets within a 10 min walk, nearby cash machine and a good variety of eating establishments to choose from that suit all pockets. You must try the ice cream shop down the road, fantastic selection! Wished that we could’ve stayed longer and would definitely return here.

Wonderful location on the canal. Light, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, coffee pods and other basics provided, quality furnishings, great view of the canal, terrace at the back protected from the wind, easy luggage drop-off, parking close by, all within a very short distance of a bakery, fruit & vegetable shop, bars, restaurants and shops. Friendly, helpful host. Our best accommodation in the Netherlands. Wonderful cycling base in a very pretty little town.
