Brielle House was absolutely spotless and incredibly comfortable, a really welcoming environment after a long trip. Really comfortable beds and lovely soft furnishing touches that make it feel like home. Hosts had even left biscuits and milk in the fridge, which we really appreciated! Lots of space for a family and excellent self-catering facilities. A quick walk to the shop and only a short drive to the motorway, so ideal location for Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens, and Rock of Dunamase.

The location was excellent and our hostess Ann couldn’t do enough for us. The kitchen was so well supplied, we had everything we needed, milk, butter, jams, selection of teas and coffees and also biscuits. The bathroom was lovely. The property was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Our host James was superb. Extremely friendly and helpful and paid attention to all the details. The house has been beautifully restored but not over fussy with wonderful books everywhere. The breakfast was the best ever. Eggs from his hens and organic everything else. Fabulous country kitchen in the true sense and a communal table. Delicious coffee on the front steps in the sunshine. Fabulous stay. Will go again.

Location was excellent, we attended the plowing match and it was a short drive away. The building itself was newly renovated, so everything was very new. Fully operational kitchen with all the conveniences. Quite beautifully decorated. Secure parking. Very helpful and friendly.

it was a very personal welcome from the owner and we felt like we were invited to a friend's house. So we sat in the kitchen and had tea and were shown around the house. We would have liked to stay longer and can only recommend this accommodation...

A fabulous restored country house with magnificent period furniture and art objects. You are invited into the owners home with hospitality but also given space to enjoy the atmosphere of a 17th Century manor house. The organic vegetarian breakfast of local produce served in a restored kitchen was exceptionally good.

Breakfast was excellent and eaten in the kitchen with James the host whilst he cooked for us. He has done an extraordinarily painstaking and expert restoration of an extraordinary mid-Georgian house and the story alone was worth the visit.

Exceptional period house with fabulous furnishings and period decoration, felt really authentic. James is the real deal, a most interesting and thoughtful host. Breakfast eaten in the house kitchen is a nice touch. Just far enough from the M7 to feel really in the country but easy to get to.
