We enjoyed our stay at the lovely Gites Isatis! Our two young children loved playing in the large garden and with the toys provided by Manon and Antoine. Antoine let us borrow his climbing guide book to the forest and gave us a fantastic recommendation on where to take the kids. Manon and Antoine live at the property but it always felt private. We wish we could stay longer and explore more of the forest and surrounding area.

Fantastic location - it is possible to walk / cycle into the forest from the property. Fontainebleau and chateau are a few minutes away by car. The pretty village of Barbizon is very close by. Trains from Fontainebleau or Bois de Rois into Paris Gare de Lyon are frequent and run from early until very late. We visited Paris - the train fare was 4 Euro each way. The house was very well equipped: there is a washing machine and dryer, toilets upstairs and down, good wifi and TV with netflix. The house is in a gated courtyard with private parking and the front garden is also secure for bike storage. Nice to have a good sized sofa for 4 of us too. During our stay it was quite hot so it was good that there is a mosquito screen on the front bedroom to keep insects out. We would stay here again if we were holidaying in this area.

Location was perfect everything was provided and well thought out to provide a comfortable stay. Beautiful walks in parkland. We were very relaxed and look forward to returning in the very near future.

Very friendly host, flexible with regards to meeting us first day. Swift to answer my questions on chat. Came by to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything. Facilities were as expected, large living room and spacious bedrooms. Had put up an extra bed, since we were 5, no questions asked. Heating was very good. Kitchen good for breakfast and lunch, covered our needs. Location 50 m from center of Barbizon with a few restaurants, baker and small groceries shop. Close to all bouldering sites in the Fontainebleau forests, which was our reason for the stay. The house was clean and neat, plenty of towels etc.
