Tyenna River Cottages is a self-catering accommodation located in the heart of The Derwent Valley, just a 6-minute drive from Mt Field National Park and the beautiful Russell Falls.

At Tyenna River Cottages you will find barbecue facilities and excellent fishing. Activities in the surrounding area include bush walking, skiing and fishing.

The remote and private setting was beautiful. I loved the close access to Marriotts Falls and Mount Field. It was cozy in winter and well equipped, with good mobile coverage.

Completely isolated beside a babbling brook and surrounded by sheep-filled fields, this place was AMAZING! We'd like to move in permanently please! Three bedrooms (we only needed one) and every comfort taken care of. It was really snug in the evening to strike a match to light the wood burner. We woke up to the sounds of birds and sheep and couldn't have been happier. Thanks so much for a brilliant stay! We highly recommend this place as a rural getaway with peace, wildlife, views and a smart and well equipped interior!

The quirky, quaintness and the quiet location. Reminded us of our grandparents homes. The kitchen was well stocked, even bread, milk, eggs and condiments were available. A beautiful old style home which seemed to have been lovingly renovated. Annie was very helpful and friendly.

Had to move into the Bungalow, not the Riverside Cottage, but the Bungalow still suited our needs. We were left with a fully stocked kitchen with a huge array of breakfast choices - the fresh eggs were great. The location to Mount Field was perfect for us. Got to meet the owners' cute dogs. Also were there for raspberry season and the local raspberry farm down the road in Westerway - fresh berries are heavenly.

The cottage is in a lovely area and just a few kilometres from Mt Field. Perfect for a day of walking and sightseeing. We were able to light a fire which was fun and made the cottage feel very cosy. The kitchen was well equipped so you could cook as there are no places nearby for dinner. The decor reminded me of my Nan's home back in the 60's. Brought back some happy memories.

We loved absolutely everything about this beautiful property. Cosy, so warm with the lovely fireplace, comfy beds, washing machine/dryer and well stocked kitchen. Quiet location near the river, relaxing garden complete with chooks and budgies. Our only regret was we only stayed one night!
