Kettles Country House Hotel, hotel in Swords

Kettle's Country House Hotel is situated outside the town of Swords, just 10 km away from Dublin Airport and 22 km away from Dublin City Centre. Free parking is available.

Location was perfect as we were attending a family function in Swords. First impression from my wife was would you come back and the answer was definitely yes. The staff were fantastic and very polite and attentive. The food we had in the bar was excellent and the breakfast the following morning was delicious.

The Old Borough Hotel - Wetherspoon, hotel in Swords

Featuring a garden and a terrace, The Old Borough Hotel - Wetherspoon is located in Swords, a 10-minute drive from Dublin Airport and a 1-minute walk from Swords Castle.

Despite being located in a potentially noisy area (above a busy bar) the room was very quiet and was equipped with air conditioning meaning the window could be closed to block out any noise from outside. The room decoration was very nice, bed was comfy and bathroom with walk in shower was clean and looked brand new. Breakfast was very good value for money (not included) and delicious! Checking it at the bar was a little less welcoming compared to a traditional hotel style check in experience and I would imagine if arriving when the bar is busy could add additional delay. Once we were seen to staff were very helpful and accommodating. Parking availability was a concern initially when arriving as there is no onsite parking except for about 5-6 spaces, which we were told could not be reserved. Luckily we were able to make a space in the area outside (not in parking bay) and were provided a pass to display on the windscreen so no charge, which was great, however if driving would recommend researching for alternative parking and be prepared to walk to/from accommodation in case it's full. To be fair this limited parking was explained at the time of booking but naively we thought it wouldn't be a problem and arrived unprepared! Despite these very minor negative comments would highly recommend both the accommodation and the breakfast. Thanks for a great stay!

Metro Hotel Dublin Airport, hotel in Swords

The Metro Hotel Dublin is a 7-minute drive from Dublin Airport and 4 miles from central Dublin. It offers modern rooms with free WiFi and a stylish restaurant with a bar.

It’s really close to the motorway, airport and a short drive to Dublin. Lots of shops locally for food including Lidl, McDs etc. Food in the bar was lovely. Really impressed they also had oat milk as lots of hotels don’t carry milk alternatives in my experience

It was busier and bigger than I expected but offered all needed. The Swords Express Bus service works really well. You need exact coins as no change nor card facilities are offered on the bus. Swords is the perfect destination for exploring the area; being close to the airport and for frequent trips into Dublin. It also gives easy access to the Motorway if you wish to explore a further afield.

if like me you need this for a layover at Dublin Airport, don't choose this one. It's not on a bus route or walkable so you have to take a cab, which added $20 to my stay. The curtains didn't close all the way and I happened to be on the first floor looking directly at peoples cars. One of only two USB ports didn't work but thankfully one did so I could set an alarm and make it to the airport on time.

I was extremely excited to go to this hotel from the pictures that I viewed and was deeply disappointed when we arrived. Our room looked nothing like any of the photographs. I would never have stayed there if I saw the quality of the room. I will not be back.

Mary and Jimmy’s beautiful property was perfect for our stop in Dublin to watch the 6 nations international between Ireland v Wales. Superb family room, beautiful breakfast and the best hospitality from the owners. They couldn’t do enough for us. We have a 17 year old son with disability and Mary dropped us to either bus or train station every morning to book our daily travels and showed us around Swords and Malahide. Wonderful couple provided 1st class hospitality.

Old Borough is near the Dublin airport, and a village to see outside the city of Dublin. I liked the walk on streets and the history of the place and the Old Borough. It is the combination of a pub and a hotel with limited accommodation; our room was very quiet and good for one night. It was easy to take a taxi to the airport early in the morning. The staff we met were very helpful. A curiosity: there was one window in the room and it was in the ceiling!

Dan was so helpful when we arrived and even called us a taxi for the following morning as this was our first day in Ireland. The room was absolutely beautiful and the little breakfast nook had everything- French press coffee, cereal, pastries, milk, butter, jam, toast, orange juice, and more. The bed was so big and comfy, the room was nice and warm and the shower was great. Thank you so much for a great stay!

An amazing place to stay. All the rooms we had access to, being the kitchen, our own room and dining area, were spotless and very comforting - a true home from home. Our hosts were so lovely and available for any questions/help we needed which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place and visit again! It is also 10/15 minute drive from Dublin airport which is a bonus!

Excellent made-to-order breakfast. Jimmy and Mary couldn't be nicer people, easy to contact and fun folks to just talk to. Our room was comfortable and clean and I was pleased that we got to stay in such a lovely place with lovely hosts our last night in Ireland. Also a great location for airport/rental car return access.

This hotel is 10 minutes from Dublin airport and that's why we chose it. But it's nothing like a boring airport hotel. It's got charm and character and you can walk to several good restaurants within a few minutes. Very kind and helpful staff and bonus points for the hotel hiring Ukrainian refugees.

Basic but comfortable with easy access to Dublin Airport by public transport. The staff was exceedingly helpful. Newly refurbished areas are decorated with taste. The property is surrounded by trees which protect it from the busy road. It was a plus to sit outside on the front lawn before our meal.

What a pleasant stay at a charming hotel. So very convenient to DUB airport, but also a wonderful property. Swords Round Tower plus St. Columba church are a short walk away and historic gems ✔️ Air conditioned rooms/sleep were truly a treat. The Wetherspoon hotels have my attention!
