Large room. Old building so have to take that into consideration.
Evening meal was good, but limited choices on the menu due to them not having it all.
Staff were very friendly and Jess gave us a very warm welcome.
Having only taken over 7 weeks ago, they are heading in the right way, but just needs tweaking and we would of rated higher.

Beautiful property, well placed on quiet main road so easily accessible and within walking distance to town, shops, and numerous eateries. Tania and Jin were the perfect hosts. The room was immaculate, well presented, comfy bed and pillows, great en-suite and could not fault the cleanliness. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice for everyone. Parking available, on site, electric car chargers within minutes drive. A must to boom if you are in the area.

The Langton Arms is a lovely village pub in a pretty village with thatched cottages, country lanes and ford. If you like the countryside and peaceful surroundings then you will love this.
The pub has been styled with lots of attention to detail.

Blandford Forum town centre is needing a bit of TLC like many English towns now.
Too many charity shops which is a sad reflection of local council management.
Wonderful town walk down to the river Stour though.
A few interesting restaurants would be an added attraction for all generations, as well.

Winterborne Houghton which is actually the village we stayed in. Blandford Forum is a 15 minute drive away. Houghton is a very pretty village with lovely gardens and houses. Lots of thatched properties. There is a fish farm which sells delicious fresh trout and Arctic charr. There is a pub which was very nice but we didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on the food. We walked to the pub, about a mile. Very friendly people.

It's a lovely town with a great museum, scenic river walks and nice cafes, restaurants and bars.
One thing to be aware of is that public transport is limited at weekends. There are no bus services to Shaftesbury or Salisbury or Yeovil on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am relocating back to Blandford (thru personal choice) so it can’t be too bad !
Few empty shops which is a shame, could do with a bit of upgrading of shops and facilities and I thought a cinema was in the pipeline, but no show yet!

The village of Kingston Zelston is very quiet and pretty, we were lucky enough to see a pair of geese by the river there with goslings. Although I didn't go into the church the outside is well kept looks as if it is well used.
We had a fantastic day at Monkey World and also an extremely enjoyable afternoon at Keyneston Mill Botanical Gardens & Bistro. Many other places of interest to visit, but sadly time didn't allow us to fit them in.
We will return there in the future.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and would have been happy to extend it given the opportunity. The room was clean spacious and comfortable and given that they are built around the courtyard it felt as if we had our own patio outside.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and the food was well presented and delicious. The location in a peaceful country hamlet between Blandford and Wimbourne was perfect for a relaxing break and very dog friendly. An absolute gem.
Beautiful location, peaceful with an amazing outlook into the Dorset countryside. Nice quiet country roads and not far from local pubs and Blandford Forum is just a short drive away. Ideally located for a day trip down to Lulworth Cove for a lovely run across the headlands towards Weymouth. The hot tub and sauna were an added bonus and a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day.
Breakfast was good with options for both cooked or uncooked. We enjoyed our evening meals and the beer was good. This location is in a rural setting, but convenient for local towns and no problem if you have a car. We stayed for two nights and managed to visit Blandford Forum, Wimborne Minster and Kingston Lacy. The new owner made us feel very welcome.
Room decor was gorgeous and sensitive to the history of the building. The family suite was absolutely perfect with a large spacious main bedroom, a separate comfortable room with twin beds, a a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was very generous and tasty. Perfect hotel for a family traveling and near to Durdle Door and the Bovington Tank Museum.
Complimentary drink on arrival. The quality of food was excellent and the breakfasts were huge. A lovely touch was to be offered a bottle of tap water with our meal.
The staff were very attentive, chatty and helpful.
This hotel was above our expectations in many respects. We had a wonderful time.
Fabulous little base for our family to explore Dorset including Lulworth Cove, the Tank Museum. We used the pool at blandford forum and our little ones loved it. It was clean and had everything we needed for our mon to fri stay. Oh and a very handy washing machine. Thank you.
Everything. The welcome , despite arriving early, beautiful spacious room with bath, immaculate farmhouse, super comfy bed, pillows and duvet. Delicious breakfast In beautiful dining room. Tania and John charming and so helpful. Hotels cannot match this.
This is a slightly old-fashioned hotel and I mean that as a compliment, not a criticism. It reflects the history and the character of the town in which it sits. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food was good and occasionally very good indeed.
In a beautiful setting not far out of Blandford, a warm welcome from Andrea the hostess. Immaculately clean and interesting decor.
Breakfast was very good, I would definitely recommend this farmhouse.
Lots of easy parking too.
the hotel is simply great, rooms are very roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. hotel is situated next to all the facilities you need
I must like it as I’ve stayed over 15 times
Staff were amazing, really friendly, helpful, and approachable. The hotel was country style and in a great location. We had an issue with the plug in our sink, and they foxed it really quickly.
