Morzine is great for travel from UK for a short break as it is so close to Geneva. It's a lovely village with plenty of places to eat and drink, shops and things to do.
Resort is low so in a poor snow year you have to ski in Avoriaz, accessible by bus or the Super Morzine lift. The ski area is very large.

Morzine is a lovely town with plenty of bars and restaurants and shops, you do have to pre book the really popular restaurants though, as they do get really busy. The snow wasnt great in Morzine when we were there but really easy to get a bus to Avoriaz or the Super Morzine up and then a chair gets you to Avoriaz where the snow was amazing!

Morzine is a beautiful town.
Morzine is a beautiful town. It is only 1h:30 from Geneva so very accessible. The ski area in Morzine and Les Gets is extensive and offers plenty of variety for a full week. The only challenge is the snow. It is reasonably low and it can rain on the lower slopes. During school holidays the queues on the lifts around Morzine and Les Get can be long (up to 30 minutes). We were late picking up our daughter from ski school as a result. If you are not with young kids you can also head up to Avoriaz and the wider Port du Soleil.
Food-wise, I can recommend La Flamme, Le Grange, Le Grillon and Le Vaffieau.
I'd recommend using Easy2ride over ESF.

Morzine is an older, year-round village, not just a purpose-built ski resort, so has a good range of restaurants, cafes and shops and a variety of accommodation. The Bec Jaune micro-brewery/restaurant and L'Etale were both excellent places for a meal and helpful in accommodating a couple who hadn't booked in advance. The ski area is pretty, particularly the runs through the trees. There is obviously some excellent off-piste terrain. However, the resort is low (1000m) so snow conditions are always going to be a worry, as on this occasion when there was only mediocre on-piste skiing to be had. Would visit again, but only with a last-minute booking once I was sure conditions would be good during my stay.

We loved our time in Morzine. We were there to ski.
We loved our time in Morzine. We were there to ski. The snow wasn't great when we visited. Nonetheless we had enjoyed the skiing, with plenty of variety on the slopes to suit all abilities. We thought Morzine itself was very picturesque and had plenty of nice restaurants. We plan on returning

Morzine is a family ski resort.
Morzine is a family ski resort. Maybe not enough night life for youngsters. It links with Les Gets and the whole Avoriaz area (Porte de Soleil), so a huge variety of skiing available. Lots of restaurants and bars available. Free buses around the town and surrounding areas to the lifts. I feel really at home there.
The staff were really nice, professional, and helpful. They had everything covered. Despite the Tour de France taking place, the location was just far enough at the end of the hoopla that it remained fairly quiet. Yet, you were just a few minutes walk away from everything. I really liked my room's balcony overlooking the main thoroughfare into Morzine. It provided a great place to relax as the temps cooled down. I'm not a skier but I would definitely go back there just to hang out in the area in the fall - before it begins to snow.
A lovely hotel, 10 min walk from Morzine centre for morning ski buses or into the shop area. Many restaurant close by. Great Mountain View’s of Avoriaz each morning and Morzine slopes. Perfect simple breakfast , good coffee , excellent alpine ambiance in the hotel. After check out the hotel allowed me to leave my luggage in the hotel until departure later in the day. Just a great place to stay for a ski break. The beds were amazingly comfortable. If you have the option to stay here I 100% recommend
This small family run hotel has just been completely refurbished and has been in the same families hands since the 1960’s. The decoration is tasteful, the pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym area and therapy room is amazing in such a small hotel.
I also have to mention that we ate in several very good restaurants while in Morzine. On one occasion we decided to eat in the hotel and I must say it was one of the best meals, if not the best!
Lovely little chalet, incredibly well equipped for such a small space. Everything you need in the kitchen including kettle, coffee maker & toaster. Nice little bathroom with excellent shower pressure. Great location less than 10 minutes walk from the cable car. The local ski shop will store your skis overnight if you rent from them halving the distance you have to walk in ski boots. Would definitely return
We loved everything about this hotel. The room was gorgeous, the staff very friendly and helpful in every possible way. Went there for the Spartan Morzine, stayed 3 nights and will definitely be back next year. They even helped with breakfast outside of normal hours. Walking distance of everything you need. A lot of information in the hotel regarding activities around and the hammam and jacuzzi are awesome.
We stayed here August 16-24 2022 for a downhill bike vacation. Practically brand new hotel. Location 2-5 minutes walk from the canter and ski/bike lifts. Friendly attentive stuff. Owner/manager Jon was always on site to help with ANY matter.
In-hotel restaurant serves quality food.
Overall experience well worth the price. Great vibe. Looks better in life than the photos.
Le Montana is located just 2mins from Pleney lift and 5mins from Super Morzine lift by foot.
From Morzine pistes you can ski directly down to Le Montana's apartments.
Market , cafes, bars, restaurants and shops are just around the hotel, so if not having your own car then location is very convenient. Apartment's owner was very helpful with anything we may needed.
The hotel were very welcoming & everything was easy &accessible. The breakfast was fantastic. The bus stop for the ski lift was outside the hotel which we were really pleased about to find. The room was spacious with a balcony & bed very comfortable. Large hot tub in the spa area so room for everyone. The whole stay was brilliant & we could not fault it.
The location of the property is fantastic. The family who own la petit chalet also own Nicolas ski shop and gave us an excellent discount on skis, poles and helmets. They were so nice and friendly as was everyone else we met in Morzine. There was no snow in Morzine so we got the free ski bus to Avoriaz which worked out well.
Great location, next to Prodains lift which is open until late evening for easy access to Avoriaz. Close proximity to ski bus to Morzine. Fabulous 4 course evening meals, wow the food was delicious. The owner and staff at the hotel work very hard providing excellent and friendly service. Thank you for a great stay.
The quality of the apartment was excellent, with very well set up bedrooms, living area and kitchen. Good central location to shops, ski rentals, main ski lifts, restaurants, bars etc. Apartment/building facilities were very good, e.g. boot/gear room, jacuzzi, gym etc.
Living room was very comfortable for 7 ppl to enjoy dinner and down time. Master bedroom w/ en-suite was very spacious, and the other bedrooms were also comfortable. The shared bathroom was very luxurious, and made it easier having so many ppl using it.
Charming chalet style comfortable hotel, perfectly located for either Avoriaz or Morzine skiing, easy access to ski lift, shuttle bus etc.
Beautiful food served every evening by friendly staff.
Owner manager exceptionally helpful and obliging.
Really nice apartment in great location in Morzine. The place is really well furnished and kitted out with modern appliances with everything you could need. It is very spacious with an outside patio and ski locker room downstairs.
Great location to walk into the main town for shopping/eating. Communication with the host was great. Cute rustic decor and nice view from the deck. The kitchen was well equipped. The space had a ton of storage, which was nice.
authentic charm, central to everything, great outlook from the balcony, room was large and comfy bed. breakfast was fresh and good selection.hotel staff especially lady receptionist so friendly and helpful.
