The staff is a very positive and accommodating. One time we were in the Ajacco without any Bus option (after 19h they apparently don’t serve), so they gave us taxi number. Also gave water bottles for free, etc. Also water sports on site and they are really polite and friendly. Menu at the resto is good too.

A charming, elegant town with a lively centre and a huge port. Fascinating old port, and fort well-presented and interesting to visit. Current heartbreaking exhibition re Corsican resistance in WW2. Ate well, mainly Corsican specialities e.g, mussels with cheese, veal with olives.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my iPhone at the start of my trip. The desk managers at the Hotel Kalliste were amazing!!! They worked tirelessly to help me locate my phone that was left in a taxi. Thank you to Ilme!! Thank you to Joanne!! Thank you to Thomas!! You all went above and beyond to help me locate my phone. Great sleuthing to all! I was able to retrieve my phone and carry on with my vacation stress free.

Ajaccio is a magical and beautiful town, full of life, beaches, and amazing restaurants. It is very accessible by foot, and the access from the airport is also quick and convenient. Locals (at least most of the people we engaged with while there) were helpful and kind. I am not sure how safe a city it is as I "lost" a very valuable watch, and I wonder if it was the act of pickpockets, or hotel staff, or it came lose (it has not in 15 years though.) That did leave me with a feeling of deep disappointment. That put aside, I very much recommend traveling to Corsica and spending a couple of days in Ajaccio.

We found many good restaurants and one favorite one we went to several times. The city is clean and the port is amazing, especially with the huge cruise ships in port. The streets with the shopping kiosks offer anything and everything. The streets go every which way but GPS was an absolute necessity. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!

We went to visit our granddaughter so she was our guide for the holiday. However, the hotel had a very comprehensive touch screen guide for transport, restaurants, places to see etc. Ajaccio was very accessible on foot and a week was enough to explore the town and surrounding areas on foot, bus and train. To go further afield you would need to hire a car. There were loads of restaurants and many cafes plus a weekly market by the harbour.
Despite the name, the hotel doesn`t resemble the "old castle"at all. Quite comfortable. My daughter and I really liked the pool, which we visited in the morning before leaving. The only thing that spoiled the mood is the price. Well, very expensive! Despite the pandemic and the almost complete absence of foreign tourists, the arrival of the French was enough. Prices for hotels in Corsica in July were not merciful....
We were given a very warm welcome and our request to stay an extra two days graciously accommodated. The hotel is a 15 minute bus journey from the centre of Ajaccio but local transport stops right outside the hotel. Staff very helpful sorting out public transport for the next stage of our Corsica visit. Lovely sandy beach a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent breakfast and value for the money.
Accommodation is staffed by a friendly man at the reception who speaks English. There is a balcony with a nice view of some mountains. It is a quiet area off the main road, and there is a proper kitchen with stovetop and microwave.
Ajaccio hotel - no towels except for floor towel, no bath soap. Has balcony with nice view of some mountains, quiet, proper kitchen with stovetop and microwave.
I loved this hotel. It was an amazing stay. Right in the city center in the best area of Ajaccio. Beautiful views from the room and from the Rooftop where you can enjoy a good breakfast. The staff is really lovely especially the guy who welcomed me at my arrival last Friday night, really cool. I wish to go back there one day soon (if the prices remains affordable like they were).
Everything was wonderful, a charming old building, with thick walls and cozy views from the window. Very convenient location. I really enjoyed my stay, being next time in Ajaccio I'll try to book this place. The only thing I was missing was a shoehorn (chausse-pied). I think the owners will read my comment and add this little detail :) Et à bientôt!
We stayed at the hotel for two nights.
It is a great place to stay. The staff is exceptionally caring and kind, will be happy to recommend this place to friends.
Recommendation - if you are a foodie - many food places in downtown are relatively simple, reserve a spot at an excellent restaurant before you go or look for places out of town :)
The staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is superbly located with multitudes of restaurants within easy reach, plus most key Ajaccio sites of interest. Food in the hotel was good, if a bit pricey for dinner and lunch but this came with excellent rooms, which were maintained to a high standard.
Friendly staff and the key factor for not giving a lower rating. The location is acceptable but you have to walk for about 40 minutes to reach town. Ajaccio is not a beautiful city, it's packed with cars and the hotel location looks more like a suburban area. Nice view of the bay in the hotel rooftop.
We booked Le Dauphin to be able to take an early flight the next morning and to have a nice evening walk and diner in Ajaccio. For this the hotel is at a good location. It was easy to have an early check-out the next. The room was also meeting our expectations.
Incredible view and amenities. The room was great, nice size and great bathroom. The food and drink were delicious. The staff was incredible. We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% stay again. Thank you Hotel Les Mouettes!
The hotel is in an exquisite location with its own very beautiful beach. We had our own porch that looked out onto the sea. We liked the bar that looked out on the ocean and pool. The room had a very efficient layout.
Beautifull location with a tremendous view of Ajaccio. Hosts are very friendly and give great tips. As only a couple of apartments a great amount of privacy.
Super clean hotel with awesome staff! everyone is so nice and so accommodating!!! Room was big for European standard and the roof top terrace is super nice
