Pros -
The staff were more than friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Probably more than any other stay during our 3 week trip throughout Florida. They actually deserve a more modern hotel with better upto date facilities. Good staff like them are wasted on a hotel that’s tired and worn out.
Beds were comfortable

We love Gilberts and we go very often. However, it was our first time staying overnight and we loved it. We did have an issue with our boat as we docked it overnight at Gilberts and after heavy rain storms our boat had a malfunction and it literally sunk :(
Carlos the manager was a lifesaver and so amazing. My boss came out with some friends on a boat to help us pull out boat out of water and Carlos volunteered to help right away being a huge part of being able to save out boat. He was soooo helpful and attentive to our situation. The guys over at the marina across of Gilberts were also sooo amazing. I would never have enough words to describe how thankful we, my husband and I, are for Carlos and all the men who helped right away.

The only things to do in Key Largo are, Eating, drinking, go on Snorkeling or Scuba Diving tours. When we arrived our 1st stop was at the visitors center where the lady told us that there is not much to to do in Key Largo, no beach, no snorkling from the shoreline unless as she put it "if you want to see rocks and small fish". She was right about that.

Nice place for a romantic getaway.
Nice place for a romantic getaway. Beautiful ocean view, assorted sea life. Jet skis, kayaks, snorkeling and scuba diving if you want. Lots of delicious dining options. If you are looking for the late night dance and party scene, look elsewhere.
Bay Harbor Lodge is a true HIDDEN GEM in Key Largo!!! This quiet boutique resort is located directly on the water with it’s very own palm tree right on the beach! The entire premise is absolutely beautifully landscaped with lush trees and plants! The cute permanent “food truck” on the property serves homemade scones every morning. Our favorite flavors were the coconut pecan and pineapple scones! The owner and staff are all absolutely awesome and truly cared about our stay! We will definitely be back!!!!
The apartment was fabulous - beautifully furnished, comfortable and homely. The pool is great, with palm trees and tikis for shade. The lagoon is a little murky, but loads of fish and wonderfully cool for swimming.
The point is stunning to catch the sunset - well worth the few minutes walk, we enjoyed it most evenings.
Key Largo has a number of restaurants and decent shopping facilities within walking distance, although the humidity made walking very sweaty!
Excellent care from TJ and Tamika as well as the room crew. We had to extend a night and they were very accommodating. The place is not new or 5-star, but it is very clean, had a firm comfortable bed, nice pool and beach with water access to kayak.
Snooks restaurant is next door often with live music. And make sure to dine at the Fish House in Key Largo! Excellent! We'll be back!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach area was beautiful and a good place to watch the sunset. Great location in Key Largo near John Pennekamp and great restaurants, like The Fish House and Mrs. Mac's. Rooms were normal but clean and housekeeping came every day. Beach towels provided at the desk. Gift shop was reasonable and free coffee & tea provided in reception 24/7.
Very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this quiet and secluded small resort on the Gulf side at Tavernier. At check-in we received excellent and accurate advice on local eateries. We also did some self-catering, using the advice received to purchase high quality fresh fish from The Fish House, a nearby fish restaurant and market.
The sunsets over Florida Bay were spectacular!
A very clean, modern hotel with nicely decorated rooms and very comfortable beds. Our room was toward a channel and we could enjoy the evening near the water. A restaurant next door has a few good options for breakfast. A kayak tours with manatees viewing is offered next door. We planned to do the tour, but unfortunately the weather declined, so had to cancel.
Loved the scones and coffee/tea for breakfast. Great selection changing every day. The grounds were extremely well kept and the pool well maintained. We only used the on-site kayaks once due to windy conditions but was great fun to paddle in the bay.
The hotel is quiet and peaceful although just off I1. Plenty of food options nearby
Fresh baked muffins, individual frittatas, yogurt, fruit, coffee all served outdoors under a tiki hut with tables and chairs by your villa all a short walk from the shore with a great view. It's an old school Florida hotel. Refreshing break from the standard modern hotels.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices, fresh fruit, juices, eggs different styles, newspaper every day.
The beds were comfy, microwave, refrigerator and sink for washing dishes in the room. the location was pleasant, the hotel offered a small beach for swimming.
This is a relatively small resort with an enjoyable pool, lush landscaping and sited on the water.
The net effect is a quiet, very relaxing experience.
Location allows convenient access to Key Largo things or a longer day trip to Key West.
A must stay in key largo. Pretty good location but the hotel itself is beautiful no need to even leave the hotel. Jet ski and other water rentals right from the hotel beach. Definitely a must stay for future visits!
Location and stafff were amazing, the location is perfect. You are close to everything in Key Largo and short walk away from bars and restaurants. You have jetski rentals & excursions right by your hotel.
The staff is amazing. I travel for work and they now know me by name and this is the only place I will stay in the Key Largo area. All the Front Desk people and Cleaning service people are excellent!
This hotel is in a great location in Key Largo. I was in town for a wedding which happened nearby. The facilities were nice, and there were many families there for Spring Break.
stunning beach area. the main hotel and restaurants were beautiful. loved the little touches such as complimentary champagne on the beach at sunset, s’mores for the kids
Nice quite cottages with amazing location, small beach in backyard and great sunset views. Lot of good restaurants nearby and
