I would definitely advise to travel around, small villages, historical sites, sea, dikes, quite different from other regions in Germany.
Peaceful, quite.
Habits and the language are similar to one that is in North Nederland, Groningen.

A good city for shopping trips and the typical restaurants and cafés. Some nice buildings and the Ostfriesen Museum is well worth a visit with a surprisingly good and complete collection of armoury that could rival the British Royal Armouries and exhibits such as a "bog man" and prehistoric collections and research.

A very pleasant, small city and seaport in East Frisia.
A very pleasant, small city and seaport in East Frisia. Of particular interest are the Ostfriesisches Landesmuseum (Brückstraße 1), with detailed local history, and the Kunsthalle (Hinter dem Rahmen 13), with paintings by the German Expressionists and an interesting exhibition on research into the provenance of paintings in the Nannen collection, which forms a large part of the museum's holdings.

The receptionist and butler in charge was very kind and helpful.
Your map to find the place was not clear and did not state the name
Jarßum nor the streets going to the site.

Town is in a good location and close to Greetsiel and the beach. Lots of low key things to do. The main center of Emden is nothing to write home about but the area around is beautiful. But what makes going to Emden worth it is Boardinghouse 96 Quatier!! Incredible place with cool history although the outside has a Detroit feel...
Traditional style of hotel, sited on the road to Aurich, but within walking distance of town centre, museums and main attractions. Compact, but very comfortable and quiet room will relatively small, but fully functional and well-provisioned, bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful with advice and directions. There is a Greek restaurant on the premises, but this was closed for annual leave for much of August.
My expectations were not very high since this is a small neighborhood hotel that was near to relatives that we were visiting. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. The room was small but had everything we needed. The included breakfast was unbelievably wonderful. We stayed at many hotels during this trip and this breakfast was equal to or greater than many of them.
We stay at the Haus Witter a couple times a year when we bring our glider up from Switzerland for servicing in Lower Saxony. For us it is ideally located near the Emden customs office. Beyond the location which is rather specific for us, the hotel is very nice with a fabulous breakfast. The town of Emden is worth visiting and other nice places, like Leer, are very close.
Somethimes everything clicks - and this hotel ticks all the boxes. Light is just right at the chamber, a fireplace in your room (although for safety fake), floorheating at your toilet / bathroom, free minibar, perfect breakfast.. excellent spa and very capable staff. I was pretty impressed!
Well located near train and town centre.Older style hotel but in good order and great value for money. The hotel was clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and assisted with a late check in.A satisfactory breakfast was served in the dining room.
We were in family room for 4 persons. All is ok, room is pretty big, there is enough place for parents and children. Internet is ok, air conditioning is ok.
Hotel is located in the new shopping center, so you have big supermarket and other shops right near the entrance.
The gentleman at the reception was very helpful and professional. Willing to go the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction.
The room was a good size, quiet at night and the hotel provided a very good breakfast. Good secure bicycle storage.
Super Apartment, really nice. We arrived on the public holiday so nobody at reception but the message with clear instructions to get the keys was very helpful and no problem at all. We would always come back if we are in Emden again.
The location was good for us - a medium walk to the Town Centre. The food & drinks at the sister hotel, Park Hotel, just down the road were excellent. Parking was located in front of the hotel on a first come first served basis.
The hosts were responsive and friendly; Location from Emden centre was really good and quite easy to find - walking distance to nearest Edeka and Lidl supermarkets; It was clean and tidy with a comfy double bed.
Everything was perfect ,there were so many extras supplied it was incredible. It was perfectly clean, and a lovely spacious apartment. The town of Emden was lovely , all walkable, with great restaurants.
Affordable hotel close to city center in Emden. You get what you pay for. Good service. Good German style restaurant. EV-chargers 300 meeters from the hotel.
