The location was in the marina with a good selection of restaurants and a bar very close. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that. We did use the mini breakfast service which was in the foyer and consisted of juice, fruit, pastries and coffee for a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was quiet. There was a Spar not far away which could provide more or less anything you wanted. The marina was lovely and clean and a nice place to walk. It is a pleasant walk along the esplanade to St Raphael where the bus and train station are easy to find. Bus trip to St Tropez was very scenic and good value at 3 euros. Train to Nice was also scenic and efficient.
Le Virevent is located 300 meters from sandy beaches. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.

I read all the reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. We booked a family room with a sea view and it was perfect. My son even had his own room and balcony. The service was good, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. It is at an excellent location.v

This was one of the worst experience I've had.
This was one of the worst experience I've had.
I've been scammed by the host. She offered a place free of smoke and it was full of smoke all the apartment, also she was smoking in the living room when we arrived.
I'm allergic and I couldn't sleep all night.

They should have bicycles to rent close to the tourismo centre
We walked 40minutes to a bike rent given by the tourism
Got there to a house with noboby after phoning and telling us they are there.
This was time wasted with nobody there and had to ealk back 40mintes.
If you are tourist inclined, get the people with renting bikes or scooters closer to the centre or tourism office. It only makes sense doesnt it?
Overall the French should brush up on their English and not be so rude. The past is the past.English is an international language.France was not a good experience. The French attitude are unacceptable and this we heard from other travelers at the train station from America,Scotland, Poland. We are South Africans.
They are abrupt, not helpfull and a stink attitude st the train stations,Taxis etc which leaves a bad taste. Saint Raphael is beautiful but should do more to advertise their market times and tourist excursions in English. Have a Tuk tuk service etc.

A lovely location for a holiday or a short break. If you want to see the sights car hire probably would be recommended. We arrived by train which was very crowded so maybe a taxi transfer would have been more comfortable. Also someone on the train attempted to steal my purse from my handbag, however they were unsuccessful.
As we borded the train we were warned to be vigilant for thief's.

We loved the beaches. All amazing.
We loved the beaches. All amazing. And you can have very good food, the towns are beautiful. There is a lot to see if you want to. And wonderful places to stay if you just want to chill.
It is pricy though and if you want to get to know the region, you have to consider a lot of time, because there is quite some traffic on the roads. But it´s beautiful!
PS: if you consider going tol Saint Tropez, for instance, try a boat tour. By car, it takes forever,
Its our second time at this lovely little hotel in St. Raphael. The reason we came back: we like that the hotel is just a few steps away from the old town with its market, restaurants and small cafes. At this location you feel that you have more than just a tourist experience.
The personnel is very helpful, discrete and friendly.
The room we stayed in was quite spacious and clean.
We did not have breakfast at the hotel but this option also exists.
- modern house with new appliances, furniture, bathrooms etc. and no problems with hot/cold water whatsoever.
- small but nice swimming pool with 2 sunbeds.
- 2 big tables outside, suitable even for 12 people! 2 barbecues
- enough parking spots free of charge on the street
- the location is 7 min away from saint raphael centre and about 10 min from frejus beach (walking). there is also a big supermarket 3 min away by car.
We knew the hotel and it is very comfortable . Receptionists very charming and helpful. An elegant building beside a superb old golf course with parasol pines and scenic views.
We did not want to eat a dinner every night. Lunch on the verandah is good but it would have been nice to get bar snacks or lite bites in the evening. The swimming pool is good. Nearby beautiful beaches at Agay.
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful room with balcony. Brilliant hostesses who are so lovely and obliging. Breakfast is top class with service with a smile and always a friendly chat. Dinner in the evening is not to be missed - absolutely fantastic food. You won't find better. If they are catering ( not every evening) it is highly recommended.
Upgraded to a suite which was less private, but still heavenly.
Hotel staff were amazing. Restaurant staff in some respects a little less so, for instance ordering drinks during the day seemed a little more hard work than you’d imagine, sometimes you’d have to hunt down a member of staff.
The hotel was located about a 15/20 minute walk from the main town. So if happy to walk location is good. Plenty of restaurants nearby but not thy cheap. Although you are in the South of France. Pool
Was decent. Breakfast €18 per person. A bit steep for me. Otherwise a nice hotel.
The room is not very big (something common in France), but it has a small kitchen for those who need something like that. The bed is comfortable, it also has a small balcony and is in the cozy style. Parking is in a safe area, access to the premises is based on a code.
The hotel was really quite nice and one couldn't ask for a better by-the-Med location. Unlike much of the clientele, we are not 30-something gym rats, and so cannot speak to the "active" part of the experience. The staff were top-notch and extremely helpful.
The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant for golfers that we found the next lunchtime..gonthere..dont stay upsatirs at the hotel should be 2 stars..not 4.. Even the staff talk about hotel.uogrades on the way..not worth the money 173 Euro..
Centrally located, next to Place Pierre Coullet, close to the beach and port, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants and railway station with trains to/from Paris and Nice. No need for a car. Saint-Raphaël is more charming than Fréjus.
Great property, nice design, all the confort. And quite close to the beach and to restaurants. Also, breakfast was very good. Friendly staff. One of our favorite accomodations during our trip in South of France.
The location of this hotel is the best in Saint Raphael as the beach is literally across the street. It is also walking distance onto the train station, local shopping and the Monoprix. Rooms are air conditioned
Lovely quiet spot. Clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was similar in offerings to other places visited in France over the last two weeks, but the quality of ingredients was much better!
Despite being old, hotel is well maintained. Room and bathroom were extremely spacious. Hotel is just across the beach and the main promenade. Staff is very polite and nice.
