Front desk keep saying that I booked with a pet and Tried ti charge me $75 for pet fee and I said no on my booking it says 2 adults only no pets! Guy front desk complaining about him working by himself which I did not care not my problem complain to your company not to your guests and then they charge you $ 50 extra for accidental insurance which they return if the room is left decent but that’s not on the page when you are renting the place! I paid thinking that was it then you go to front desk and they start charging you for all these fees not good! Charge everything upfront already!

Beautiful white sand beaches, not too crowded and the area around the beach isn’t a gaudy tourist trap. No boardwalk filled with crap. Very family oriented and safe. Decorum and class haven’t been shoved aside for the masses like at more well known beaches. Moms won’t have to cover juniors eyes on the beach.

beach very nice. very poor city planning.

beach very nice. very poor city planning. The houses on the beach area all on Hwy A1A and very close to the VERY busy and noisy road. It is actually a dangerous road...too close to houses and people speed. the downtown was fun....great restaurants and the Amelia Island boat tour was great.

Like the location, not too crowded, traffic is good, lots of places to eat. Road biking and trails are a plus and love the downtown area and thrift and antique stores. Not overly commercial really feels like a residential area, not touristy.

We love the historic areas and the quaint downtown shopping. The beach is 5 minutes away and there is golf for anyone interested. Also, we took a boat trip from the harbour to Cumberland Island which was very informative. Fernandina has excellent restaurants too.

Way bigger than a hotel. Close to almost every thing.

Way bigger than a hotel. Close to almost every thing. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher were welcomed. Felt safe. Some website info did not match. Videos about how to check in were helpful. The no pets policy not enforced. White cat hair on rugs, carpet and/or floor. Inspection notification came a day after the inspection. Facilities fellow and inspector just walked in with no knocking. Facilities guy thought the place was unoccupied. Communication glitch.

it has lots of historical information and things to check out the museum of natural history that is housed in an old jail thta has recently been redone just a little bit but its still authentic and they have a historian lead tour i think saturdays its worth checking out. if you are a person that likes to sample spirits there is a place called marlin\barrel that does tastings daily everything they provide you is made on site the vodka in particalar is super smooth and nice. for food you have to check out moon river pizza you think you know the best pizza just try theirs. lots of good shopping downtown. I know this will sound strange but there is a Walmart there that is not a super Walmart not a marketplace, but it is the size of a Walmart store when they first opened and it just takes me super far back to see what i grew up with to what i have now if you find this Walmart i highly recommend you go there for a time warp back to the 90's lol if you are into that.

our family gathered in Fernandina Beach to celebrate a milestone birthday. We reserved 3 cottages and the cottages were absolutely perfect. All three families were extremely satisfied and we all decided that when we are in the area again, we would stay at Sea Cottage of Amelia again. Short walk to beach - though during our short stay, we did not go to the beach. I would recommend staying here versus staying in a hotel.

The condo is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We were so pleasantly surprised as we walked in. It was very clean and a starter pack was provided for everything from laundry detergent to shampoo and conditioner. The beach access is right across the street next to the Omni hotel and restaurants and fun activities are within a short walking distance. Highly recommend!

Room was so small, you couldn't move around with 2 people without stepping aside. Fridge cabinet door broken. Musty smell. So musty, carpet and sheets felt damp. Stayed only 1 night and cancelled remaining two nights because we hated the room. Booked another hotel for remaining 2 nights.

So convenient 😌. The hotel is a little older, but part of that is its charm. The breakfast room was well tended to and there was plenty of food. We had a great stay.

We liked the "beach cottage" atmosphere, with the raised walkways to the cottages. Also, it feels more private than having to walk through a hotel/motel lobby.
