Balcony was good. Sleep was comfortable and the view from the balcony was nice enough. The location and car parking was both helpful. Price paid was acceptable.

A hotel set in time .... in some respects! It has a lovely ambience. The original Edwardian/Victorian theme runs throughout the rooms and lounge. The breakfast food & drink were very good. The breakfast waitress worked hard and did her very best.

Breakfast was good although I only had a sausage roll as I would be eating later in the day. As for the accommodation it was very quirky.

Brilliant location close to Matlock and Matlock Baths - and the hotel itself is surrounded by trees and nature so it's in a lovely spot set back from the road. The staff were lovely, they were very welcoming and helpful and even provided platers for our take away which we had for dinner (as we arrived late) which we really appreciated
