Room was simple but clean and comfortable and would have had a nice view -but the weather was awful! Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice. We were seated at a window table for dinner (which was very good) - but sadly, we couldn;t see any views because of the bad weather!

Room was comfy and spacious. Breakfast had a good choice of different foods and was tasty, the outdoor terrace has a lovely view. Also loved their a la cart menu. We had dinner there and it was delicious (compliments to the chef). Loved the overall vibe of the hotel and friendly staff. Special thanks and kudos go to the staff, they proactively helped us when we got caught in a storm. Really appreciate their gesture, understanding, and the willingness to go out of their way.

A must-visit place, recommended for all seasons as each carry a different beauty and personality of Chiemsee and its surrounding locations. Take the boat and enjoy the ride to each Island. Walk around Fraueninsel, have a meal at Herreninsel after visiting the Castle. Walk to the water in the summer. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! It is at the lakeside one has the most lasting impression.And the ship which takes one across the lake to the palace of Herrenchiemsee is a pleasant 20 minute cruise .After the palace with its wonderful Versailles lookalike interiors don’t miss out a visit to the monastery on the island .There is a delightful exhibition of paintings celebrating the period 1890 to the 1930s .The cafe on the terrace is a good place to have a light lunch ( and especially a cool beer ).JeffreyUnited Kingdom

The room was great, everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and filling and friendly. We met a couple who have been coming to the same hotel for 35 years! If that doesn’t tell you that it’s quality… !! The WiFi was excellent and even reached the beautiful outside area, where we sat the whole evening enjoying the fresh air.

The staff was smiling, room was comfortable (just pillows were not) and nice decorated (I like Bavaria style). The location was close to the lake, but by car. It would be hard to go by walk. Parking was easy to the closest swimming place and 1 euro per hour. There is a nice playground and a green park close to the hotel and Chiemsee swimming location.

The location was a 20 min walk from Bernau Chiemsee Station but with the greenery filled road made it very pleasant. Also, the breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options.
