Very clean and friendly host. Rooms were basic but in accordance with pictures. The location in the village is very central and comfortable. Would definitely come back!
Sancerre is a beautiful old hilltop visage. It is pleasantly located allowing day trips to surrounding medieval villages and small cities such as Gion, Bourges, and Auxerre. I strongly recommend taking these day trips. The old cobblestone streets and equally ancient homes and buildings offer wonderful photo ops. I also recommend a drive out into the vineyards. Regarding “getting about in Sancerre,”. Many of the streets are quite steep, so be willing to take your time and enjoy the environment.

We only had an overnight stop in Sancerre.
We only had an overnight stop in Sancerre. It was a shame as I would like to spend more time exploring the area. Sancerre is a lovely little town and worth a wander about. Great wines and nice people. Like many such towns, it does suffer from it's own fame. There are plenty of wine shops, but there appeared to be a lack of usual local retailers.

Obviously focused on wine - but Sancerre is a lovely town with beautiful views and lots of facilities for tourists to learn about Sancerre and what makes it special. Lots of the facilities are geared to include children's interest (even though it's still about wine).

Sancerre is a beautiful with loads of good wine, some nice restaurants, and a stunning scenery around it. Best suitable for couples and those who like a quiet stay. Not much disco and party around here, mostly wine tasting, history, views and good food.

Just one nights stay at The Panoramic but could have stayed longer.
The village is a steep walk up the hill from the hotel, but worth the effort to be rewarded with a good selection of restaurants, wine merchants and individual shops.

A beautiful old town atop a hill with a super view of the surrounding vineyards. The town itself doesn’t offer too much, but the Maison du Vin was worth the visit. The nearby village of Chavignol is interesting because of wine AND its famous cheese. Visits should include a few tastings at the numerous wineries.
The location is fantastic, very central to the main village of Sancerre with an easy slight uphill walk to the village centre. Some amazing restaurants nearby and Stephanie provides a wonderful guide to the region with eveything from vineyards to visit, cheese and other local food and the best restaurants around. The apartment feels like a 'lived in' home and has all the amenities you could possibly need.
Characterful modernisation of ancient building, modest size but ideal for couple with easy walking to charming old town of Sancerre with an its spectacular hilltop position and of course famous wine. Good equipment in the logis. Street parking, might be an issue in high season. Excellent comms from hosts who responded quickly to queries. Will certainly stay again on a future occasion.
Excellent Sancerre location. Quiet neighborhood. Very popular with cyclists. Plenty of free on-street car parking. Appreciate that host stocked local Sancerre wine for purchase. Lots of kitchen appliances. Particularly appreciate having a washing machine and a place to hang-dry clothes. Very clean interior. This will sound strange, but fantastic toilet paper!!
excellent communication
Freedom of time of arrival and departure
House was just perfect : very classic (house was build in 1533) with modern bedrooms and bathrooms.
Excellent decoration
Well located with superb restaurants in walking distance
Plenty of public spaces available within 3 minutes walking
Good visit to the winery
Location is very good, although the walk to the centre of the village is up hill so may not suit everyone. Parking is convenient, though the instructions from the owners on how to find it should be clearer. The property is extremely well furnished and comfortable. The owners left us a lovely bottle of Sancerre on arrival.
Lovely property. Great quiet location within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Great host, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and wines. We managed to park very near to the property. The area felt safe. Would have no hesitation in recommending the property for a short stay in Sancerre.
It was a really pleasant stay, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and everything was really easy. The rooms were wide and clean and the beds comfortables. The breakfast is super with plenty of super good home made products. The owner has plenty of advices to give you if you want to visit some wine producer
The room and sheets were clean. View outside from the front of the hotel was lovely. Short walk into the little town. Free parking nearby. It was quiet (despite being above the very odd but strangely fun bar downstairs).
The host was very understanding with circumstances, happened to need spare keys temporarily and the host provided them as needed. Friendly host. Maps provided by the host at property for things to see and do in Sancerre.
Location was excellent. It was only 1 1/2 blocks from most of the restaurants and a pharmacy and only about 3 blocks from the Tourist Office. The Coeur de France language school was only 5 minutes up the hill.
excellent staff, excellent food, and excellent wine. the rooms are large and spacious and set in the beautiful town of Chavignol. definitely visit the restaurant at the hotel for an absolutely fantastic meal.
This was an amazing home in the heart of Sancerre, large home, private terrace, great open kitchen, large bedrooms, clean and had everything we needed. I will be back for sure. Owners were great
Very personable staff.helpful with getting around .there is parking across the street.
