Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.
Étretat is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The cliffs, I mean. And Jardins d’Etretat. Don’t miss Jardins. The town, however, is super touristy. There are no good restaurants. I’d say sleep somewhere else and visit Étretat for a day.

Etretat is a lovely, relaxing little seaside resort. Not much to do in town except relax and eat at one of the excellent little restaurants. Good place to explore local towns like Dieppe or Fecamp. Good walks and views up on the cliffs.

Beautiful seaside town, was a bit overcrowded when we went and city center was closed to cars which meant everyone was pouring over to outside carparks which were overflowing. Best to avoid July/August time. Lots of restaurants but there could be a queue to get in due to overcrowding. There are lots of fish restaurants, nice places for icecream, lots of very sweet and unusal shops.

Staff at both the hotel and a highly rated pizza restaurant were rude and complacent. Everywhere else along the north coast of France was quite the opposite, and so I wonder if this is an issue with the people working in Etretat. I found the town to be very disappointing and was glad to leave.

Fantastic walks along the cliffs and the beach. Stunning views on each direction. The gardens are interesting with sculptures augmenting the features of the gardening. Etretat Town gets very busy with coach trips and is quite expensive.JanMetUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0
Etretat is a very scenic place.
Etretat is a very scenic place. We visited in February so it didn't have a lot of tourists but a lot of places were closed, The cliffs are a must see and the walk up there is worth it. Walking around is made easy by the fact that the city center is not accessible to cars but parking can and will get expensive the closer you are to the city center (1€ for 30 min in the red zone). I would advise to come by train as much as possible or find a parking spot outside of the city if you're ok with walking.

I checked the hallway and there was none there either. Went downstairs to the reception and asked her how come there is no toilet in the room. She said, with a huge smile: “you need to be a better detective”. We did do a better detective job and found another room with a secret entrance. Hotel is filled with so much antique detective furniture, pictures, books, etc. The game room/library downstairs is amazing.SamanUnited States

The room was charming, very aesthetically pleasing and clean, with authentic antique furniture. It took us just a couple of minutes to get to the beach from the house. Breakfast was also amazing, beautifully served in nice tableware. Wilfrid has many interesting stories to tell his visitors. And his dogs are very cute. One should definitely stay here when visiting Étretat !KKristinaReunion

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, e.g. when looking for a place to store our bikes over night. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern, the bathroom products were all organic/ bio. Guests are allowed to use the kitchen after breakfast hours to make themselves coffee or hot chocolate. Location is very good, very few Kilometers left or right to get to sites like Etretat in less than 5 minutes or around 15 minutes to Fécamp, even less for Yport.

She is an attentive host, happy to give tips about the town and surrounding area.
