We have stayed at the Pataros hotel before, several times, and love the fact it hasn't changed. The staff are amazing, as is the food, and it is such a beautiful location. We didn't want to leave.
This family-run hotel overlooks the historical village of Patara and offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The beautiful 12 km long beach of Patara is just 2 km away.

Best place to stay in Patara. Located close to the Lycian hiking Trail, it will do perfectly as a base for local hikes, or one night sleepover on your way. Comfortable beds, everything was clean, and the balcony door had a mosquito net. We loved the breakfast, it had everything: cheese, eggs, olives, veggies and fruits. On the opposite side of the road was very nice restaurant to have dinner. We stayed there three nights and loved every moment. Big thanks to the Turkish guy from staff speaking good English, he helped us find an alternative Lycian Way hike and even drove us there!
Surrounded by a green garden with colourful flowers, this family-run property is situated in the peaceful Gelemis Village.

Very nice little family-owned place, we were the only guests
. Only one of the owners spoke english, but we felt welcome. Nice garden with chicken running around. Delicious fresh homemade bread for breakfast. The shower stopped working, but they fixed it right away. Would come back!

Set in Patara, 41 km from Lycian Rock Cemetery, Beso Patara offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a private beach area.
Visited a couple of times before. Village restaurants not so good as previously. Simbar charging more than in Kalkan for cocktails! Village generally very quiet this time, no buzz, however first time visiting in Sept, which may account for this. Bus timetable not worth publishing as they come when they want and don't always go to the bus station.

Despite its popularity, Patara remains a traditional Turkish village. This is because it is protected for both archaeological and nature reasons. Turtles nest here. We visit regularly. It is all accessible on foot but if it's very hot or you have trouble walking any distance, it is best to get the dolmus to the beach. Yes, you have to pay to enter the beach but this is because it is part of an archaeological site. The beach was very, very crowded on a hot summer weekend (avoid in high season if you don't like crowds) but it is so long it's easy to find space to sit and swim. Patara is very convenient for visits to other sites like Xanthos and Letoon.

Patara must be the one of the most perfect holiday destinations. An enormous, world class beach which means it is never crowded.
In addition you walk past or through the excavated Lycian and Roman ruins of the ancient port city - amazing!
And, of course, the wonderful generosity and good nature of the locals.

The village was small and very chilled with no hassle.
The village was small and very chilled with no hassle. I'm a single Mum and went with my 11 year old daughter and it was such a safe environment. The people were really helpful and friendly. It actually reminded me a bit of Guatemala, bit of a hippy laid back vibe, no McDonalds etc in sight! The beach was amazing, great waves for body boarding and miles of golden sand with only one beach restaurant, so unspoilt! Surrounded by ruins and a laying ground for turtles has ensured Patara beach isn't flooded with shops, beach bars etc, so 10 miles of loveliness. Best beach I've ever been to in Europe easily... Food in Patara is really affordable, booze a bit more (Muslim country) but fine. Some restaurants don't sell booze but plenty do! Spent so much less this holiday than in Greece. I never usually go to the same place twice but would seriously consider returning to Patara. Loved it!
Kazem and Ayse have created a very friendly atmosphere during our stay and have helped us with many valuable tips. The room was very spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Also the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom which is equipped with a shower cabin, was outstanding. The breakfast comes with hearty and sweet options and includes homemade or homegrown products. The hosts were really flexible with breakfast times. If you are too lazy to go to the beach, you can relax at the pretty pool.
This place is really great, it is clean, has a good location - you will easily find the place where to eat, there are small shops nearby, Pattara ruines and very beautiful beach are pretty close to the pension. Owners are so nice. There was a problem with air conditioning, owner informed me about it and changed reservation by providing us better conditions, than we expected. There is a dog, but we did not have a chance to pet her, as she was sleeping all the time. Breakfast was cooked with love and was tasty.
Good value for money for tourists who need a room just for sleep. It is noticeable that the staff tries to make the stay for the guests a pleasant one. Breakfast is quite good. The hotel is 3 km away from astonishing Patara beach (you can get to the beach by shuttle minibus, which runs about once an hour; bus stop is in 5 minutes walk from the hotel). The room is clean, there is an air conditioning.
The staff was very helpfull and everyone was really nice ☺️
The breakfast was good.
They have a free shuttle service to the beach at 11:00am and they get you back from the beach at 4:30 pm, you'll just have to pay for the entrance of the patara beach. (in taxi you have to pay 50tl one way)
They serve tea and cake at 05:00pm.
Plus they helped me to change money.
The black cat was too cute ☺️
Arif, the manager and his staff went above and beyond. The little town of Gelemis, where the hotel is located is lovely too. Arif made many useful suggestions that helped our experience. The courtyard is lovely and peaceful and the swimming pool is clean. Air conditioning worked really well during a heat wave and the balconies were small but really nice.
Great location in a small town near Patara beach and dunes. We liked the breakfast very much and the terrace where it was served is beautiful. Markets and restaurants are very close and offer good prices. There is a fridge and kettle on the first floor if you need it. Free and fast wifi, laundry service for a reasonable fee.
This was our favorite place to stay in Turkey. The couple that run it are so warm and giving. The location is perfect, nature all around and a great beach 10 minutes away. The town has everything you need great restaurants and very friendly locals! The room and property are great and watch out the dog steals hearts….!
I loved the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The swimming pool and the gardens are beautiful. The breakfast is simple and delicious. The staff and in particular Dilara are exceptionally welcoming, kind and helpful: they went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable and memorable.
We had superior bungalow which was very nice, comfortable and clean. It seems that basic bungalows as well as camping ground is nice. It has great location, right in the centre of small Patara. Breakfast is great! Staff is extremely friendly. The do speak English, French, Turkish...
Very nice place. The staff was friendly, the room was spacious and the place itself has a nice layout, with different areas where guests can relax.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had during our trip in Turkey, with fresh fruit from the garden.
Can only recommend.
The only moment we were satisfied with our holiday was Patara beach. I would like to say this for those who do not know; Since Patara beach is a historical place, beach entrance and sunbeds / umbrellas are always charged.
It is a nice and cosy place run by a friendly family. Food was good and in large portions. The hotel is right next to the main road, so it easy to reach and there was not much noise. The room/hotel was clean.
The host is German, who can speak good English. The pool is very clean and warm, overlooking the valley. It is in Patara town, convenient to visit both Patara ancient city and the beach.
Great place to stay when visiting Patara beach. Rooms are very clean and cosy. Breakfast was also great and owners are extremely friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
