Western Nebraska small town college town big stores little stores the law enforcement and government appear completely incompetent but that's just my unquantified unqualified opinion. The rest is wonderful except for the occasional bitter leftist Christ-hater. Jesus Saves the King is Risen!

Chadron Inn was dated that was ok, towels were brought up after we were in the room and that was OK.
We were settled in and we couldn't find the remote, I tried calling the front desk, no answer, I went down to the desk clerk and he gave me a new one.
Long story short, none of the remotes worked, I asked for wifi, that didn't work and right then I said to him we have to have wifi and that we are checking out. It was 10 pm.

The Chadron Holiday Inn Express is located in a perfect spot. Right off the hwy near a junction. We visited the Chadron Museum and the State park. It was a great experience for all ages. The museum is perfect for learning and teaching the history of America. There are guns and clothing from long ago and the museum staff is very helpful. Great collections there and well kept. The state park is beautiful and offers great amenities. Swimming, camping and fishing in addition to horseback riding and hiking trails. You won't be disappointed.

The bed I slept in was uncomfortable and we each rolled to the center. The AC was a central system without a control on the room. We would have liked the room cooler.
There was no ice machine even though it had a sign that said ICE but no machine in the room.
The sink and bath controls were very old and difficult to operate.
I was very disappointed in the condition of the room and the price it cost. $100.

Came here for the parks and was not disappointed.
Came here for the parks and was not disappointed. However the restaurants in the area are mediocre. Stocking up on food/supplies was limited (I’m guessing that because it was a small town, the grocery store didn’t fully stock shelves which makes sense.). It’s a college town and I guess because there is nothing to do, they light fireworks every night of the year. Makes for a rough resting attempt. Very beautiful scenery in the area though and the parks were very well maintained.

I booked the Travel Lodge through booking and received my confirmation in my email. Thought all was well. My husband was traveling on a motet cycle and I gave him the heads up and reservations made when he arrived at @8:00 Mt time, the Travel Lodge said they had no reservations for him and they had no rooms. It took him Two hours, well after dark which is not a wise time to travel on a motorcycle in a remote area, to get another room. An email had been sent by the Travel Lodge but a person riding a motorcycle cannot read email on the road.
There wasn’t a single thing that I liked about this hotel. I highly recommend staying out else where. I booked 11 nights. On the fourth day, I did not receive toilet paper for my room. They did not take my trash and the manager was really shitty not to mention the place smells bad, looks bad. And they have terrible customer service.
We found this little hotel by accident a year ago and splurged for a king spa suite, loved it! Didn't want to leave, but we did and came back a year later and got the same room. The staff was friendly and quick to check us in, and the Country Kitchen across the parking lot is always a plus! Room was cool, quiet and dark.
This hotel is always a stop for us! While looking for some luxury after a long day of travel we booked a king suite, usually, it's the same room, which is gorgeous, this time we got a room with a balcony! Other than storming while we were there, it was a beautiful stay as always!
Good location, nice staff. Clean, well kept room. Nothing over the top but for a two star hotel as expected. Breakfast was waffles, coffee, toast, bagels, milk, yoghurt, biscuits with gravy, muffins, cereal - good amount of choices.
This is a small town property with a 5 star property behavior. We have stayed in many hotels in many towns around the world. This location competes with anywhere we have stayed. Clean rooms, wonderful staff, great amenities.
You didn’t tell me there was no pool in use and the hotel was remodeling. The ice machine not working. The front desk acted like it was a bother to wait on us. Not a good visit
