A must-visit place, recommended for all seasons as each carry a different beauty and personality of Chiemsee and its surrounding locations. Take the boat and enjoy the ride to each Island. Walk around Fraueninsel, have a meal at Herreninsel after visiting the Castle. Walk to the water in the summer. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! It is at the lakeside one has the most lasting impression.And the ship which takes one across the lake to the palace of Herrenchiemsee is a pleasant 20 minute cruise .After the palace with its wonderful Versailles lookalike interiors don’t miss out a visit to the monastery on the island .There is a delightful exhibition of paintings celebrating the period 1890 to the 1930s .The cafe on the terrace is a good place to have a light lunch ( and especially a cool beer ).

The staff was smiling, room was comfortable (just pillows were not) and nice decorated (I like Bavaria style). The location was close to the lake, but by car. It would be hard to go by walk. Parking was easy to the closest swimming place and 1 euro per hour. There is a nice playground and a green park close to the hotel and Chiemsee swimming location.

The location was a 20 min walk from Bernau Chiemsee Station but with the greenery filled road made it very pleasant. Also, the breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options. Unfortunately we couldn't use the swimming pool and sauna as they were closed due to Covid but we played mini golf and it was fun.Abin PalGermany

The room wasnt big, but very cosy, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was nicely arranged and there is something for everyone's taste
