Lovely hospitality and friendly staff. Old world charm. Yummy breakfast. Fires and piano player at night. Spacious clean room. We found it better than our stay at Echoes overall

It was a great 1 night stay, close to all the eateries and most hiking spots. The place was clean and very comfortable stay and the heating was very efficient. We would recommend to family and friends and definitely come back again. Buffet breakfast was good .
Featuring original 1920s architecture and décor, this historic hotel is just a 15-minute walk from Katoomba’s scenic Echo Point Lookout and the world-famous Three Sisters.

Fireplace was a nice touch in the lounge area in the afternoon and a close walk to an updated RSL if that’s your venue style. Warm, dry, comfortable bed. Nice selection for a light breakfast. That’s where it ended for us.
Great local shopping centre with cafes and plenty of food...
Great local shopping centre with cafes and plenty of food choices including The Lemon Grocer supermarket for self catering. The Fed cafe and Bakery Patisserie Schwarz were delicious. Plenty of parking. It would be difficult to get around without a car to drive to accomodation and local attractions.

Conservation Hut offers great views and a fabulous menu and wine list.
For an evening meal I'd fully recommend the Avalon in Katoomba . Sensational food and cocktails in a quirky re purposed picture theatre.
Local art gallery/gardens also worth a visit

So many hidden gems within driving, walking, running, biking...
So many hidden gems within driving, walking, running, biking distance, I only wish I had the ability to stay longer. Would highly recommend taking a trip to see Blackfellow Hands, or more local to Wentworth falls take the walk to see Empress Falls (not suitable for those with mobility issues). Scenic World was the initial reason for us staying in Wentworth Falls, but this was a huge disappointment for us considering there are so many free and beautiful alternatives. Scenic World is awesome for those not able to walk long distances or access areas that require unassissted mobility, otherwise a waste of money.

Wentworth Falls is fantastic.
Wentworth Falls is fantastic.
Unfortunately a LOT of track closures following an extended wet period which has resulted in unstable cliffs in places- Worth a bit of research as things may change at short notice. National Parks posts maps showing which areas are closed off- sadly most of these are unintelligible... would be nice if they simply marked up what you CAN do right now. National Pass has been closed for some years and following tragedy last year the lower passes have been closed- I believe Parks are doing some work to upgrade.
Still, the walk down to the base of the Upper Falls is not to be missed... even if you do have to retrace steps rather than making a circuit..
Conservation Hut closed, seems to be under renovation- BYO picnic!

Wentworth Falls has a couple of great cafes, we visited Fed twice for breakfast as the food and service was fantastic. We also picked up quite a few groceries from The Lemon Tree Grocery store. Such a beautiful store, very clean, beautifully stocked fresh produce and a great selection of unique items and very friendly staff. The bakery cafe was another great find, bought some yummy sourdough to bring home. The walking tracks of Wentworth Falls are a must while visiting this part of the mountains. Gets very busy on the weekends but it’s not overcrowded and there’s plenty of space for everyone. If you’re looking for a restaurant for lunch or dinner we would recommend Tempus at Katoomba. We thoroughly enjoyed a long Sunday lunch after a morning hike to Wentworth Falls. The use of Australian ingredients in all of their menu, including drinks, makes it extra special.

Great views and walks of various distances on offer.
Great views and walks of various distances on offer. Beautiful area in the Blue Mountains. Village consists of one small street (Station Rd) with limited shops and facilities. If you want pubs/restaurants to add to your walking/trekking experience then this is not for you.

The host was wonderful to deal with. The property was beautiful and had everything you could want in a rental. If I could give this place more than a 10, I would. I highly recommend staying here. It is close to everything in the blue mountains, has beautifully maintained grounds/garden, wonderful kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, fantastic hot water and pressure, is clean, well-maintained, and one of our favorite places so far.
Spacious and well furnished property overlooking the mountains. Beds were cosy and included heated blankets which kept us very warm during our winter stay.
Close walk to Valley of the Waters Lookout which connects to a great hiking trail towards Wentworth Falls.
Fireplace and telescope were great additions to the enjoyment of the property. Firewood was also provided despite us being told to bring our own.
The place had a stunning view straight from the lounge area out to the mountain tops. Every room was well prepared with amenities for all weather. We even had a chance to use the fireplace on one of the wet days which made the stay that much cosier. The whole house was spacious and airy, with plenty of space for different activities.
The hotel was clean and warm although modest but the price was reflective of this and we didnt spend much time in the rooms. It was a quick drive to all of the attractions and eateries the Blue Mountains has to offer and the staff were friendly and happy to help with questions and recomendations.
Very nicely decorated house. Comfy beds. Clean and in good condition. Quiet street with good off road parking for a few of cars if required. Kids were glad of wifi. Wentworth had a nice village feel to it and loved the FED café. Easy travelling to most Blue Mountains attractions
Stunning views and location was excellent. The rooms were spacious and the service was fantastic. The little personal touches just made it that much nicer, breakfast was great and despite the weather not being the best, the views were still stunning. Great property with great hosts.
View was fantastic, the house is set up really well and had everything we needed to enjoy the view, relax by the fire and unwind. Great location right next to beautiful Wentworth Falls walk and the pretty Leura for coffee and shopping.
The Grand View Hotel is located on the highway and has a cute charm about it. The location is about a 5 minute walk from the Wentworth Falls train station across the highway and there's a restaurant/bistro which has great pub food.
The location was stellar, quiet, literally next door to the trail heads at Wentworth Falls, gorgeous views of the mountains and bush, private and well appointed. A short drive to Leura and Katoomba. Well be back!
The food was pretty nice, it was what we needed. We loved the location because it was nice and calm and we could walk around the area. It was also close to the Wentworth Falls and we loved everything.
Fanatic location and super beautiful house to stay....the spa is such a blessing after a day of bush walking....we will definitely come back for next visit to Blue Mountains ☺️
We liked the central location and the smart reno that had been done to the old style hotel. Room was neat, cleverly equipped with essentials and bathroom was very stylish.
Easy to checkin with helpful staff onsite and ahead of the stay.
Lovely quiet location, easy walk to Wentworth falls, easy access by car to nearby Blue Mountains areas
Such a beautiful house near to the Wentworth Falls. Monique was quick to reply and lovely to work with. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return.
