The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture.
The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture. Compact and yet full of little surprises, Annecy is a charming French city that should be in every traveller’s bucket list. Plenty of excellent dining options, the majestic Alps before you, the Lake and the river around which the place weaves its spell. Late March, early April werent as packed with tourists as summer, so the pace is less harried. Prices, too, both for food and accommodation are very affordable. Three restaurants we tried : Cozna, Saba and Le Bouillon, all Michellin recommended - provided excellent food and service.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city.
Gorgeous views of a pristine, clear lake.
Old town area was lovely and the Sunday market seemed really authentic.
Have a trip on the boat to admire the substantial houses dotted along the shoreline, enjoy an ice cream and take lots of pics.
There is a good bus service if you want to go further afield. We visited Talloires Montmin on the other side of the lake by car but I noticed it is on a bus route too.

Maximum charm in a small footprint: the Old Town is pedestrian-only, small streets that wind around and across the river, farmers markets, cutesy shops, plenty of cheese-y dinners... the place is a picture-postcard for France.

A beautiful town with lake and waterways.
A beautiful town with lake and waterways. Historic buildings and narrow streets within the centre giving a really good feel. Unfortunately it rained a lot the week we we there but didn't spoil our enjoyment too much. Lots of lovely shops and cafes and friendly and helpful people.
Annecy has a railway station and bus station with a good service and clean reliable transport.
Perfect location: easy to reach from the train station and yet all the benefits of the beautiful old town. Exceptionally helpful, cheerful and friendly staff, at check in, during the evening dinner and during breakfast (the breakfast is a real treat). Our room was small but very comfortable and it was lovely to hear the river during the night. Good ideas protecting the environment. All in all wonderfully welcoming and if we return to Annecy we will certainly return to the hotel/restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and gave me directions and recommendations. Overall, everything was super clean and organized. It was my first hostel experience, but they made it easy for me. The breakfast is alright but the view you see and the people you meet while you eat it are lovely. The big hill it’s on is a pretty challenging hike, but it’s worth it for the views and helps you burn off all the cheese you eat in old town Annecy.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, 2 minutes walk from the old town's canals.
The staff were amazing, very attentive and explained everything in detail and very kindly. They also helped us with hot water for our baby food which was smuch appreciated.
The family room was very spacious, clean and great for our 2+2 family.
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Annecy.
Top location! The old town is at your feet with its lively surroundings, lots of restaurants, shops... but the room is very quiet. The breakfast has a pleasant view over the canal and offers a variety of food , the staff cannot do enough for its customers with smiles and lovely manners. I was very impressed by Ibis Annecy, merci.
location was great as close to lake and old town. However is right on the main Annecy to Doussard road and so is VERY noisy - near constant horns beeping.
View from living room is spectacular.
Modern stylish kitchen
Separate toilet and bathroom -common in France.
Electric shutters
Good storage
Situated on the lake, secure parking, clean, comfortable. A warm welcome from the receptionist, Gilwane. Perfect English ( shame on us) and took time to describe the walk into the old town ( 1.5 miles). Paul Bocuse restaurant associated with the hotel, worth experiencing. Excellent breakfast.
Newly renovated rooms with boutique hotel flair. One of the best breakfast buffets, with egg-cooking station, fruits, charcuterie, pastries, coffee/milk stations. Next to pedestrian streets and famous Annecy canals, walking distance to Annecy's lake. Parking garage.
This is a beautiful Art Deco palace in Annecy. My room had a great view of the lake. The hotel is about a mile walk to the old town but what a great walk it is!, right along the lake.
The hotel has a great bar and 2 restaurants as well as a Casino.
Very comfy hotel near to Lake Annecy in a nice and out of the way part of town. Could only stay overnight, but our quick stay was very nice. Remarkably good service by the staff, who also speak English. Highly recommended
The property location is in the heart of old town Annecy. It has been beautifully renovated - modern and well-appointed! The staff are cheerful and very accommodating. Great atmosphere!
location near Old Town and Lake Annecy. Comfy beds, parking discount system, friendly and helpful staff all good. It was a good value hotel in a wonderful - but expensive - city
Great location. Right beside Annecy's train and bus stations and just a short walk to the Old Town. Would recommend this hotel. The continental breakfast is worth paying for.
