This resort surpassed all our expectations, from the stunning views to the meticulously maintained rooms and gardens. The breakfast was lavish, and the restaurant truly exceptional, with smiling staff adding to the experience. It's a beautiful place that we're already planning to revisit.

This agriturismo is nestled within vineyards, about 20 mins drive from Valley of The Temples. The rooms are spacious, with a lovely view (ours had a perfect sunrise view), and the food they serve is the best we've had over a week in Sicily. Dinner is 35 euros per pax, with a veggie option available; a starter, a first course, second course, and choice of desert. You can opt to add on their own wine, also superb. We look forward to their breakfast every morning, as the cakes - orange, lemon, apple, chocolate, are all excellent. The service is warm but non-intrusive, and having a fridge and strong air-conditioning for the hot days was really helpful.

I have been to Agrigento several times, it is always a great please to go back. This time I also visited the Kolymbetra gardens and Pirandello"s house in Caos, both places exceeded my expectations

We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace.
We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace. There was a refresment waiting for us (coffe, juice, water, small cake). Room was clean, nice smell. But we spent there a night in January and the heating was not working. I wanted to reheat by warm shower, but there was not enought hot water to even wash my hair. I was frozen and catch a cold over the night. The bed was very noisy with each small move. The window was oposite to a building, very dark inside. All I will remember is dark and cold room. Shell I add how long we were looking for a place to park the car in those tiny streets?

We spent two nights here in winter, which was enough. The temples took a full day, give them time. Lots to see in the old town with plenty exercise climbing all the steps.
Lots of great bars and restaurants.

We visited here because we wanted to see the Valley of Temples. We ended up adding a day to our visit to explore the city and relax at Villa Athena Resort, which is really near the archelogical site.
Agrigento has many great restaurants and patisseries to help you increase your waistline. Many shops to buy nice clothes and jewelry on the main street Via Atena.
Also just a few minute drive to the beach, which offers lots of parking and restaurants.

We loved the old town with narrow streets and many intimate piazza’s. We found it a bit difficult accessing and using public transport so we walked everywhere. Everything of archeological interest was quite close, the churches were beautiful but a little more subdued than most. The food was delicious, our air bnb host was excellent. It wasn’t difficult to park the car free as well.

We visited Agrigento to see the valley of the Temples and we were not disappointed. We visiting in our own car and so concerned about parking. Parking at the valley was easy with lots of room and a machine which accepted cash and cards to pay for the parking, which was not expensive. Pay the 6 Euros to get a hand held guide in your own language, it tells you everything about each temple and the ancient Greek city (Akragas).
You can see the whole site in a day.
It was by far the best place we stayed during our two weeks trip through Sicily, and also the least expensive. The location, facilities, breakfast... everything was exceptional. The rooms are very nice and remarkably clean. But what certainly makes this accomodation beyond superb is the dedicated way in which Fabio and Sandro run their place: they put thought and effort into every detail, something which really makes de difference for the guests. We are very much looking forward to staying here again.
The hotel is beautiful. The view of the temples in the night was magnificent. Location was amazing, room was spacious, elegant and just perfect. Parking was large and near the entrance. We were welcomed with fresh juice and pastries and the receptionist sat down with us and told us what we can see and give us a map, even helped us with reservations for the next evening dinner. The dinner was exceptional, chef was amazing. One of the best dinners we ever had.
This is a great place from which to explore the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento.
At this family-run hotel the staff are incredibly friendly and helped us with every possible need, from parking our car, carrying heavy bags and providing local information. An exceptional and leisurely breakfast is offered on the roof terrace, using local produce, much of it from the family's own harvest.
The friendliest stop on our tour of Sicily!
La pagliera was the best and most memorable place we stayed while in Sicily. Ciccio and Susi have transformed a barn into a gorgeous, welcoming, intimate, comfortable B&B. Each special architectural detail and furnishing has an interesting story. Our host, Ciccio, was very personable and entertaining. He exudes love for Susi, this property and Sicily. The breakfast food was abundant, unique and delicious. La pagliera is truly special.
The apartment is really nice, modern and clean, with well equipied kitchen with a very good coffe machine making delicious coffe😊. The location is in residential area close to the backery and a small market. The Valley of the temples is just few minutes away by car. The owner is very nice and helpful. Highly recommend for a family for few days stop when traveling around the Sicily.
Such a great place! Located near Agrigento with a view on the temples. But more than this, such a nice family that manages this B&B. We have traveled the tour of Sicily, but this was by far our best experience. And let's not forget the animals that live there, especially Tito the dog... this little guy stole my heart :-)
The best accommodation we had in our road trip from Sicily. The only regret I have is that we only stayed one day. The location is excellent, and room no.1 is the best with see view balcony and a very beautiful design. If we return to Agrigento we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this place!
It was new, stylish, clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, good breakfast
One of the best value for price ratio in a hotel
Wish i could have stayed longer
It was perfect location in agrigento, especially for a 1 day trip to see the valley of temples
10/10 go stay in this hotel and you will be happy
Location fantastic, easy walk with few stairs from bus station . Located right in old town . Brilliant hosts Fabio and Sandro . So helpful nothing any trouble . We were treated like family in their home . So welcoming! Breakfast delicious with all local products .. Agrigento a hidden treasure of Sicily !
Good mattress, great bathroom with large shower and sink, hooks and places to store things (thus far a rare occurrence in Sicily).
Friendly host, large choice of bakes sweets for breakfast plus ham and cheese roll. Free parking in the narrow street right off the main drag. Elevator for heavy luggage.
Luxurious apartment close to the centre of the old town. Hosts were very generous suppling cakes, fruit and plenty of breakfast items. Apartment beautifully decorated with every special touch taken care of. The best place we have stayed in while travelling in Sicily.
The owner Salvatore was the most friendly and heartening person we met in Sicily so far, welcoming us to this amazing hotel. The location is ideal if you want to explore the region. Peaceful & quiet at night, everything new and breakfast is super!
A very comfortable room. Excellent breakfasts. A wonderful view from the terrace. In the city centre and near the main city sites though the Temples of Agrigento were a couple of miles away and a bus/taxi was needed to get there.
All was magnificent I went to this hotel with my father.
We did a bike trip of all Sicily and we had amazing support from staff.
All the amenities were in perfect shape and all good for a visit to this city.
100% recommended
