Very nice, elegant old hotel, good service from the check in staff & bar staff. Would recomend the walk along the river to the centre of York. Great value for money.

This location was brimming with history and elegance. It was very old world and the staff treated us like royalty. The staff carried our suitcases, gave us advice about buses and opened doors for us. There is a tiny butlers lift which saved going up all the stairs. The view was lovely and the room and bathroom was luxurious. Lovely touches like a pod coffee machine in the room, big fluffy towels, comfy bed, and a top sheet. The breakfast choice was amazing and it was lovely to have fresh fruit as well. The parlour room that all guests could use was filled with beautiful things and was very fancy.
