Really liked the hotel, its ambience and the comfort of the room. Location was perfect for our needs. There was a feeling of warmth and cosiness in the room and lobbies which had been thoughtfully decorated.

The property was right on the beach at St Clair and, even though we weren’t booked into a beachfront room, we still had a great view of the beach from our balcony. The room felt really spacious and was very comfortable and clean.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing.
I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times.
We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.
The hotel is right in Dunedin so we were able to walk to the shopping centre and local tourist sights. The pub downstairs was great. We ate one meal in the dining room and it was fantastic. Our beds were really comfortable and the rooms were warm (we travelled in winter). The bathroom was clean and airy with a big window which opened. This was a neat hotel which I would describe as "art deco" but this could be the wrong description. They also had free parking for hotel guests which was MUCH appreciated!
The breakfast was huge and delicious with a great variety. All the staff were so friendly and the kitchen/restaurant staff were quick to re fill our drinks and to make sure everything was ok. We stay at this hotel every time we come to Dunedin as it is so close to the city centre, we love having two big comfy beds, the staff are so friendly and the breakfasts are the best!
My general experience of New Zealand is that accommodations are overpriced and underachieving. Hope Street was quite the reverse. I wanted to stay longer, because it was so convenient and comfortable. Don't expect luxury, mind you, not at the very fair price I paid. But everything I needed and one of the few places I looked forward to going home to.
Loved this apartment style hotel! Really tastefully decorated - great modern industrial style. Was spotless and the apartment is a great size for a short or long stay - great facilities with a full size fridge, cook top, kitchen amenities and even a dishwasher. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was a good size and modern. Excellent value!
Well presented and spotlessly clean with an excellent shower. Everything you could realistically want for a short stay. Very close to the Botanical Gardens and restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Dunedin is 20 minutes walk or a short bus-ride from right outside the hotel.
Fantastic location. After 11 nights this was the most comfy bed and the room was very well presented. The balcony was great and the shower preassure awesome. The staff were very helpful. Cant wait to come back to Dunedin and will book the same hotel and room if i can.
Really feels modern room as advertised, cozy, bathroom is just amazing, close to almost every central place in Dunedin, self service instructions were super clear and easy check-in. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Hotel to others.
Hotel is on the beach with incredible views from the room. Windows open for listening & smelling the sea. Beautiful room& parking in the building. Welcoming & helpful staff. Great neighborhood with some shops & eateries. Beautiful beach for long walks.
Spotless - can't recall staying in a cleaner motel /hotel anywhere!
The owner / host Neville is clearly focussed on providing guests with a first class experience - and delivers! We were even given a reduction on the room rate at the time of booking.
This hotel and staff are one of the best accommodation spots that I have stayed in Dunedin . Booked a small room and they up graded me to a bigger room no additional cost . Breakfast great staff and owners are lovely .
Well situated Motel right in heart of Dunedin. Hotel Manager very cheerful and helpful. Good parking right outside units. Units very well equipped especially kitchen. Very clean. Laundry facilities available.
"A hotel with a unique design and layout, spacious and clean rooms, also ample parking space. Its location is also very strategic, right in the city center and directly across from a shopping mall."
Loved the care the owners are putting into restoring the hotel as a very comfortable and welcoming place, with good homemade food on site. Excellent chicken soup!
Amazing facilities! We loved the decor and the way in which the hotel has been set up! So close to everything - in terms of Dunedin’s food and dining experiences.
