The old town was beautiful, but outside of that was difficult to get around as not much public transport. Used my bike and walking a lot for the majority of my stay. Some great restaurants to explore.

Great varierty of restaurants and shops. Everyone very friendly. Easy to park not very expensive. Paths cleared of snow. Lots to see and do that don't cost anything. A few takeaways .including McDonalds and vans selling pizza and kebabs which seemed to be doing briskly business. Well.worth a visit.

Good choice for active travellers because nestled in the intersection of several valleys (great possibilities for biking and hiking). The old part of the town is nice but a little bit too much turist-oriented: certainly it's a good choice for a rest day after sport activities.

Stayed in the summer for a cycling holiday.
Stayed in the summer for a cycling holiday. The new and old sides of Briancon are a travellers delight. You are not far from a number of popular cycling routes including the Col D’Izoard and Galbier. I will return
Well located, being just a few mins walk to Prorel lift. Briancon is quite quiet, but there are a few bars and some nice restaurants a short walk from the apartment. The apartment is well stocked with everything you'd need. The host is very helpful. He will do an airport transfer, but if not available, there is always snow.cab.
Very clean and well renovated. Lots of space in the appartment. Everything looked bran new and didn't missed anything.
This is one of the best appartment we've rent on the 13 we had for our summer vacations.
In addition, it's a 10min walk to the Vauban city!!
If we go back, for sure we are renting this appartment again.
Perfect place for group of friends or couple of families. Clean, tidy and fully equipped. Car parking right in front of the door. Martial (the owner) was very friendly and very helpful with hints for beautiful hiking and cycling routes from Briancon. Looking forward to come again.
The room was generous in size and quiet with a mountain view.
The well equipped bathroom was also large.
The hotel was perfect for my cycling holiday and they easily accomodated my bike with good security.
Access to local restaurants and conveniences is also nearby.

I spent a day of rest on my GR5 hike in Briancon. First impression (from outside, hallways..) wasn't too good but ultimately really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Cristol. Friendly staff, great location just outside the old city...
Good location just a short (uphill) stroll from old town. Parking at the hotel.
Affordable for the location. Good views to the mountains.
Very friendly staff offering helpful tips on places to visit and general welcoming chat.
Excellent stay in a clean hotel and room. Very comfortable bed, nice walk-in shower. The sauna, hamman and pool are an extra bonus to use. Free and safe car park in front of the hotel. Staff is very friendly and understanding.
You're close to the Cité Vauban (2 kms).
The bathroom is well-equipped.

Everything was clean, even if the outside window hadn't seen a duster for some time.
Very comfortable property well situated next to the main gondola and within easy walking distance of both the Rue Céntrale (for bars and restaurants) and the old town of Briançon.
