We stayed at this hotel for 1 night only and have regretted it ever since. This hotel definitely is worth, at the very least, 2 nights stay. We also loved the breakfast and the myriad of choices available during the breakfast buffet. The onsen location are different for morning and night so try to stay longer so you can enjoy both night and morning onsen and also the attractions around the hotel and area. We had a short walk outside the hotel along the lake and really enjoyed it.

Free WiFi is accessible throughout the property. One of the best properties we've visited in our travels in Japan. Modern, clean, spacious. View of Lake Toya was breathtaking, especially with full view of the nightly fireworks. Breakfast/dinner buffets had so many choices/stations and were delicious, with a spectacular view of the lake while dining. Onsen was lovely, especially the open air bath at the top of the hotel where you can see the stars at night. We regret only staying for one night.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, and incredibly helpful when our travel plans were very different from those of most guests. Facilities were fantastic, the nicest rooms, onsen (and sauna!) of our entire trip.
A great base if you want to daytrip up to the skifields of Rusutsu (30~40 mins by local bus), and want to get out of the overly Westernised trappings of the resort.

The best service from staff out of all the accomodation we stayed out during our trip! The staff went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay, we were taking early/late buses to/from skiing in Rusutsu and they even organised a small breakfast on the go for us! The included breakfasts and dinners were an experience in themselves! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully prepared meals, plus the outside onsen was great. Our room had great views of the lake & were extremely spacious compared to other accomodation we stayed at in Japan. Would definitely recommend!

Onsen facilities had a great view and water temperature was on the hotter side. Make sure to have a soak in the morning and evening as they change the baths around at different times of the day. Nice stay if you want to try Tatami style room and want a good view of the lake.
The views are stunning, we had a lake view room. The onsen is great too. The whole hotel feels quite traditional and we loved the futons.
Relatively big property with 3 buildings. There are several floors that connect the buildings (which is important at the onsen are at the top floor of one, and bottom floor of another. Room has beautiful view of the lake, with an occasional bird visitor to seek shelter from the wind and snow. Hotel has a beautiful library and piano for guests to chill, read, or play. Our room could fit 4 futons comfortably, provided we keep our luggage near the entrance area.
Good location, near to convenient store and restaurants. Love the cave onsen.. Traditional room with futons, might seem old but it's cosy and rustic feel. Additional wash basin outside toilet. Staffs are friendly, daily housekeeping. Hot, cold drinking water are refilled daily, towels and yukuta are also changed daily. Staffs even set up the futons bedding when we were out.
Beautiful view of the lake from the room…lucky enough to be able to see the fireworks over the lake at night. Spectacular experience. Nice japanese style room, comfy futons Nice onsens Nice breakfast
A nice place to stay near Lake Toya. Unfortunately, cannot comment on the onsen, since we couldn't use it (tattoos). But overall the hotel was clean, provided nice yukatas, the staff was helpful and polite.
Futon beds were low to the ground, but not on the ground (unlike other Ryokan I’ve stayed at). Very comfortable room.
For the money it costs it was an authentic and very good ryokan and onsen experience. The view is amazing, as you can see the lake, and in summer, even fireworks from the room. Room is bigger than most ryokans. Onsen is clean and we liked how there were baths with different water temperatures, including external bath. The food was also great, you eat in a common area. Location-wise it is next to the boat terminal and also just behind the bus station.
The open air onsen was really nice! They give you Yukatas to wear, and the traditional style hotel was really something we wanted to experience, which we got to here! The staff was also all really nice, and some also spoke english really well!
Old style Japanese hotel . Comfi futons . Amazing Japanese breakfast , quite , large room, hot hot onsen , staff amazing . We loved the stay . Felt like in old Japan !!
