Miyajima Seaside Hotel 3 stars

Miyajima

Japanese-style rooms feature a tatami (woven mat) floor and shoji sliding paper screens. Some rooms offer tranquil views of the Seto Inland Sea. They are fitted with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and traditional futon beds. An en suite bathroom and yukata robes are provided. A must to visit! Service was perfect. They pay attention to every detail and this makes you feel as you are in the best place you could ask for in Miyajima. The room was clean, the food was really great (not only the taste, but also how it was presented). Totally recommended!!!

Kinsuikan 4 stars

Miyajima

All units in the ryokan are equipped with a coffee machine. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. The traditional Japanese breakfast is a culinary experience but may not be suitable for everyone. It's 3 mins away from the Torii Gate and the Itsukushima Temple, and also from the dock. The rooms are tidy and clean.

Miyajima Hanare no Yado IBUKU 5 stars

Miyajima

The ryokan will provide guests with air-conditioned units offering a desk, a coffee machine, a fridge, a minibar, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a bidet. Additional in-room amenities include wine or champagne. At the ryokan, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. I liked the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff could not do enough to help.

Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa 2 stars

Miyajima

Located within 2.3 km of Tsutsumigaura Beach and 500 metres of Five Storey Pagoda, Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Miyajima. This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. Momijidani Park is less than 1 km away and Museum of History and Folklore is a 12-minute walk from the ryokan. Beautiful traditional Japanese guesthouse with 8 rooms. It is about a 5 minute walk from the boat terminal. The room was small but spacious and appointed with the usual Japanese amenities and lots of little special touches. The mattress was comfortable and thicker than a traditional futon. I recommend enjoying the sitting room at the end of the corridor on the first floor. We enjoyed a local beer that we purchased from the guesthouse in there. The host is very friendly and accommodating and provides information on the island. The breakfast was very nice Japanese style meal. It was also extremely clean - I have stayed at a lot of places and this was the cleanest by far, not a speck of dust anywhere. I highly recommend staying here.

Itsumoya 2 stars

Miyajima

A comfortable living room comes with a low table and seating cushions. A microwave, a fridge and an electric kettle are included in the kitchenette on the ground floor. Bedrooms are situated upstairs, and guests sleep on traditional futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) flooring. The house is simply stunning! If you're looking for an authentic stay, this is it. The little garden in the middle of the house really adds to its charm. The bath is the best I've had in the past 5 weeks of traveling around Japan. And the owner is delightful.
