I didn’t regret for booking 2N here.
It’s not cheap but there’s some which are even more expensive…
We paid ¥58908 half board ( dinner +breakfast) each night for a couple.
They’ve a welcome drink ( apple juice n coffee) daily. There’s a large relaxing room with comfortable chairs for you to admire the garden n ice-creams ( though very small ones) provided n water . We were given 15 min onsen free for couple-room which you can paid for 1-hr usage if you like to spend longer time with your spouse. They’ve gender segregated onsen for hotel guests free. The meals are just heavenly. Staff are helpful n friendly n can speak some English ( very important for non-locals like us who don’t speak n understand Japanese ) Definitely will come back if visiting this place again. Lastly want to thank Tsuta Onsen Ryokan and Booking.com for their alliance together so that I can book confidently without worry ( some ryokans only book via their website n it’s all in Japanese 😅🤣🥹) . Always Booking.com is my FIRST CHOICE in all my booking for hotel stay as they presented the important n relevant information clearly. Thank you Tsuta onsen ryokan and your staff for such an amazing experience and Booking.com for making booking easier.

Very nice ryokan, with good private and public onsen available. The room was more than enough, with fresh towels and yukata each day I stayed. The staff were very nice, and I was able to ask them about certain things with combinations of English, Japanese and translation apps. I got injured before coming here sp the location is a bit far away from things, but very close to the station (2 minutes?). Note: not a negative as I chose this location because of the location originally.

The breakfast is best! We have been in so many full board resorts in Japan. Here is the best home cooked breakfast. Better than namy luxurious resort in the region. Love the wooden floor of the hotel, it creative & unique. The host was best, friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to her new resort near by.

Free bookable private Onsen, good location (minutes from station), no frills ryokan.
Excellent Onsen as authentic hot spring with high sulfur content. Although it is a bit small. Dinner was excellent.
Location is great. Onsen is spacious. Outdoor onsen is good. Restaurant serves reasonably priced food. Nice Japanese style room with futons and yukata.
Traditional breakfast, cooking my own scrambled egg and bacon on the table top stove, lovely service, sofa in the room, old style decor, being shown to my room, communal bath as well as room bath, traditional ryokan guest clothing.
Onsen and the tatami seating downstairs
Room was large, didn't lack anything. The Ryokan have two private onsen (indoor) you can use anytime. Staff was super friendly!! Meal was ok (not huge, but ok!), traditional Japanese style. Place was all trraditional style and located in a small town near a dam, with beatifull scenery. Very quiet place you can only access by bus. There is a combini nearby.
Great ryokan in a isolated lakeside town with a decent onsen. In winter it was very peaceful and quiet.
The location was excellent - very close to Aomori station and the Nebuta Museum! The staff was also very helpful when explaining things to me. As well, the room had a very Japanese style, and the yukata provided was very cute! Finally, the futon bed on the tatami was much softer than other futons that I have slept on during my trips in Japan, so I was pleasantly surprised.
The owner allowed us to drop our bags before and after check in and out so we could see the town unhindered. She was very nice to us for the whole stay. We stayed in the tatami mat room. The mats were new and felt luxurious. The futon s were so comfortable we almost decide to no show a different hotel so we could stay at Iroha longer. The bathroom was clean and relaxing to use. It is spacious enough for a family all at once. We would stay here again in a heart beat.
