I'd like to first thank the staff. Due to the recent typhoon causing transport issues, they were able to kindly arrange extended stay for us. And they also patiently helped us sort through our call to the next hotel to change check-in dates.
Public/private bathrooms, breakfast and bedding I found all to be good. Our room had a good view from the window.
The location is good if you are looking for somewhere to relax, away from the busier cities.
We went to a couple of small tea houses and cafe/restaurants around the area. Uji has a local matcha factory, so I recommend at least trying one of the tea shops if you are interested.
In Uji, it's quiet but the locals in restaurants seem quite happy for friendly chats.

I had the Japanese breakfast twice and I loved it. I highly recommend it, even though I understand it is not for everyone.
The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.
I loved the bath. If you don't know how the Japanese use it, I suggest researching it first.

The entire hotel is beautiful. We loved our room. It was calm and relaxing.
Breakfast was delicious. They had sandwiches , miso , rice , omelette, tofu , pickled vegetables and bread in a buffet setup.

Loved the experience of staying in a room that had incorporated a lot of the traditional style. Futon was very comfortable and they even offered to use 2 mattresses.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
We had a great stay at this ryokan. It’s super clean and confortable. It’s located in a good position. We recommend it! Traditional onsen was the cherry on top!

Nice classic Japanese tatami style room with indoor slippers provided. Facilities completed such as fridge, coffee machine, washing machine. The owner also recommended a few places to visit in Uji as well as the places to avoid. Kettle, cups and a foldable table is available in the room as well, very convenient. Although it is a distance away from the main Uji town, but it's near the train station, restaurants and shops.

The room was nice and the futon was comfy to sleep on. The location was perfect as it was easy to get to Kyoto and to explore Uji. I loved the opportunity to see a place that I wouldn't have otherwise seen.
Comfortable futons, lovely small room though the room is small but got everything we needed. Very clean. The host is a very nice lady, she gave us some tips about the area. Walking distance to JR and Metro stations and supermarket (Fresco)
