Everything about this place was perfect! The staff were all very kind and friendly and very accommodating of our baby. We were also given a tour of the village by a member of staff which was lovely.

Beautiful, peaceful location close to Shirakawa-go (we walked but they also have a shuttle bus available). Great amenities. The dinner experience was really special and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the onsen and the late night ramen! We originally only planned to stay for one night but decided to extend our stay. It was really vacation.
The 200 years old Minshuku Goyomon lies amid Ainokura Village, a World Heritage Site with centuries old Gassho-style houses and a traditional local community.

We loved everything about the Minshuku and the town. With no doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The host was very friendly, the meals delicious, and the house beautiful. Highly recommended!

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Generous supply of food in the fridge & kitchen table. Comfortable tatami room & futons. Cable for charging of devices. Good location near the village, convenience store , eateries. The informative self-made/drawn booklets on what to do, eat, see in the village. Thanks also for the free passes to the nearby hot spring (think we got them cos we stayed 2 nights).

Location was absolutely fantastic and only a short drive to the Shirakawago heritage sites. The onsens were also lovely and the surroundings were quite special. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had a great view from the room. All the ryokan esque facilities (lounge wear, free beverages etc) all topped it off. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
A beautiful family-run ryokan. The room and location were ideal, the food was amazing, and the private onsen made it extra special. You absolutely must visit!!
The owner did we not meet but we felt so cared and welcome with personally guidebooks, food and biscuits. We also got free tickets to shirakawago hot spring which was a really nice onsen.
This place is absolutely awesome Free popsicles, free yakult, breakfast included, free ramen between 10pm and 11pm, free private onsen bath. Free yukata rental. Complementary drop-off and collection service to the bus stop in Shirakawago. Very responsive to messages. Only thing to note, pick up from bus station starts at 2pm
The room was very big and the hotel was perfect. The onsen is also very nice and inside the hotel there are some activities such as wearing a yukata or late noodles in the night which are already included on the price.
2 private onsens, free dinner (hot soba), comfy and spacious rooms.
You can choose the yukata design you like the best.
Free shuttle bus from the hotel to the main bus stop (Shirakawa-go).
We liked everything, the hotel was beautiful, and the rooms were very comfortable. We really appreciate the onsen and the large choice of yukata, the free drinks and ice creams. Also the traditional breakfast was huge and delicious.

Large room with huge traditional breakfast.
The location is further than expect but they do provide shuttle bus. The Onsen is so good the private one no charge and the public one are huge and there are many baths to choose. Amenities are all well prepared. Also provide free ice cream and drinks for relaxation. The noodles on late snack is superb!
