Air-conditioned rooms are carpeted and fitted with a seating area, an LCD TV and a fridge. All rooms come with a desk, a private bathroom and toiletries. They have 2 single beds, while additional guests can sleep in traditional futon bedding that is spread on the loft’s floor.

Very modern for Japan and lots of space. Incredible view over the bay and area to sit out. Rare in Japan. Nice little beach. Restaurant first class and worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion. Excellent service and staff who Spk a bit of English and try their hardest to help in any way. If you are going to Hokideo this is a fabulous base. Ps you need a car though ! I never leave reviews but this place is special. 12 out of 10 👌👍

I realised after I arrived here that I had booked the wrong number of people (2 instead of 3) but this was quickly resolved by the very friendly and helpful owner moving us to another room where we were able to sleep using futon on tatami mats. This was a treat we hadn't expected. This also gave us more space to spread out. The facilities are basic but modern and clean.

Great location for tourist spots and restaurants. You can hear some local trains sometimes rattling by. Room had tatami mats, comfy futons and a nice view of the garden. The bathroom though small is well equipped, and there is also a large Japanese bathing area.

The place was really clean, well-maintained and value for its price. Also, the futon beds on the tatami floor was really comfortable. Checking in and out was easy and quick with the friendly owner of Plum House who speaks Chinese and Japanese. He helped us with our luggages though there was no elevator, which was really nice of him. There were common basic facilities such as a fridge, dining tables and more. Don't hesitate to book a stay at Plum House, a pity we only stayed a night!

Perfect location in front of the railway station: Otaru is so small that you can get there by train in the morning, drop your luggage in the hotel, visit the city (canals are overrated, but Mt. Tengu is underrated), and come back in time to put on your yukata and go for an onsen first, and then free noodles.

-I got a free upgrade to a fantastic room. - The location is good, within walking distance from the station and the Otaru Unga - The room is super comfortable. I even went out only for a few hours so that I can get back to my super comfy room. - The room has a big size bed, room with a tatami and futon, a microwave, fridge, TV, and heater. - The husband and wife who owns the place are super friendly. They make sure I am comfortable during my stay. - the view from my room is beautiful
