It was truly authentic Japanese ryokan experience. The room with a river view was great, and the bath was lovely. The staff was super helpful and had prepared English information documents and menus even though they didn’t speak English.

We loved our stay here. The location was beautiful, right on the river bank with eagles flying up and down the river every day. Rooms and food were great! Onsen was beautiful as well. This was one of the highlights of our trip! Staff also gave us many suggestions on things to do in the area!

Everything! Even though the staff present during our arrival barely spoke English, they tried their best to communicate through a translator app. They helped us with making reservations for a local Udon restaurant, and overall they were just veeeeery kind - even though we are a group of foreigners.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

We had a family room and it was very comfortable with private toilet and overlooking the river. Lover the onson (the outdoor one at least men and women swap onsen at 9pm) and the traditional dinner and breakfast was very filling.
