Absolutely my standout stay in Japan, a place I have both lived and travelled to more than a dozen times.
Besho Onsen Midoriya is a beautiful modern Ryokan with private hot spring baths set in the most tranquil of settings. I particularly loved the Kaiseki set course dinner and of course the provided breakfasts.
I will be back!

Owner is super friendly. Japanese style room and very comfortable futon. The ryokan is just right next to a river, and it’s very zen to hear the river flows. Awesome stay!
