The Athlone Institute of Technology is 1 km away. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town centre. Everything.. from the start. Check in. Room was just fab. Big and so comfortable. Food was great too. Staff very helpful too. Coco in the restaurant as well as Aoife. PJ and Sean in the bar. Can't fault any of them. Thank you. We will be back. X

At the hotel, each room has a desk and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom is equipped with a bath or shower. Food was amazing, in the restaurant, breakfast and room service. Staff was very nice even at the reception

It is very conveniently located in Athlone and has nice and clean rooms, lovely facilities, comfortable beds and appreciated the water bottles provided by housekeeping. Will definitely revisit at some point

Free private parking is available and Lough Enell and Lough Owel, popular fishing destinations, are within 10 minutes’ drive of the hotel. It is always a pleasure to stay here, it is like home away from home, Staff, room, Breakfast all great. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mullingar, would never be disappointed
